Kalypso Media released new screenshots from Galactic Civilizations II: Endless Universe, a new stand-alone add-on requiring no additional purchase and including the two previously released add-ons: Dark Avatar and Twilight Of the Arnor. Galactic Civilization II: Endless Universe will be released during October 2008 for a recommended price of £19.99. 
2K Sports has released a new trailer for NBA 2K9, showcasing this game in the works at 2K Sports' Visual Concepts studio. NBA 2K9 will be available on October 7th, for Xbox 360, PS3 and PS2.
Obsidian Conflict is a Half-Life 2 modification where you are a former prisoner of Earth, taken from your cell to a Combine Research facility in the arctic. There in the dome used to generate their huge holographic worlds, you are faced with a challenge. You have been placed in a holographic space so realistic that you can't tell the difference between the real world and the fake. Dark Motif released a couple of new screenshots from Adam Syndrome, a new adventure game for the PC scheduled to be available during Q3 2009. You will play the part of Professor Adam Reed on his quest for answers to the sudden and mysterious death of his wife. The game features more than fifteen unique locations, high-resolution backgrounds along with real-time special effects and a moody and suspenseful original soundtrack.
Codemasters sent us the first screenshots from FUEL from Asobo Studios, a game in the works at Asobo Studios and due to ship in 2009, for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. FUEL is set in an alternate present in which whole swathes of the globe have been ravaged by the effects of climate change brought on by decades of environmental abuse. Here, oil prices have rocketed and yet a new breed of racing junkie takes to the wastelands, pitting their grungy home-tuned vehicles against each other in an all-new extreme sport as they compete to win fuel supplies.
Midway Games has released a new gameplay trailer for TNA iMPACT!, showcasing this videogame scheduled to ship this September, for PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. TNA iMPACT! is an officially licensed game for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, featuring more than 20 customizable TNA wrestlers, including Abyss, Kurt Angle, Christian Cage, Jeff Jarrett, Rhino, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Sting and more.

SouthPeak Games today introduced Zombie Ninja, a new character from Ninjatown for the Nintendo DS, a game based on the Shawnimals' designer toy line. Zombie Ninjas want nothing more than to eat brains, and by brains we mean fluffy stuffing. It sounds harmless, but in the world of Ninjatown fluffy stuffing equals innards! If you see a Zombie Ninja, RUN! Ninjatown is under development at Venan Entertainment in conjunction with Cashmere Productions and is scheduled to be available in October 2008.
Electronic Arts also announced that NFL Head Coach 09, a game which features Indianapolis Colts' head coach Tony Dungy on the game's cover, is now available in retail stores throughout North America, just in time for the official start of the NFL's 2008 regular season. Developed in Orlando, Florida by EA Tiburon, NFL Head Coach 09 offers a variety of different ways to control an NFL franchise, on and off the field, in-season and off-season. Electronic Arts has announced that Spore, the latest game developed by EA Maxis, has shipped to retailers for PC, Mac, DS, mobile phones and iPhone. Spore is a simulation game that will take you from the origin and evolution of life through the development of civilization and technology and eventually all the way into the deepest reaches of outer space. You will begin your odyssey at the dawn of life as a simple microbe just trying to survive, then use the fun, intuitive Editors to evolve the creature from its microscopic origins into an intelligent, tool-using race. You will guide your species as it builds (and the player designs) villages, buildings, cities, and vehicles. Along the way to becoming a global civilization you can choose whether to hunt or forage, attack or trade, be nice or play rough.
SEGA has released the second trailer from Yakuza 2, showcasing this upcoming sequel developed for PS2 and due to hit the store shelves on September 9th. Yakuza 2 is a 3rd person action adventure featuring enhanced combat, larger environments and a thrilling storyline continuing a year after the first game ended. Kazuma Kiryu, the protagonist of the first game, is named Fourth Chairman of the Tojo Clan but unexpectedly retires from life in the clan the same day. However, his personally chosen successor is assassinated by a former allied gang called the Omi. This sets the stage for the sequel's storyline, which sees Kazuma travelling through Japan on what could be the last opportunity to stop an all-out war between the Tojo and Omi clans.
