Double D Dodgeball Big Bang Boom DLC Released and Screens/Trailer

YUKE'S Company of America today announced that the all new "Big Bang Boom" downloadable content pack is now available for Double D Dodgeball, via Xbox LIVE Arcade. The in-game content includes Barrier, a player that creates a protective barrier around itself after catching a super shot for some added defense. Additionally, a new Bomb Ball can be thrown into the fray, a ball that explodes when it hits an opponent and causes a blast radius that knocks out any other players nearby. Finally, Fire Line is a flame-laden baseline that sends players to the sidelines when touched. A trailer is now available, as well as new screenshots in our gallery.

Real Heroes: Firefighter Trailer and Screens

Conspiracy Entertainment has released the first trailer and screenshots from Real Heroes: Firefighters, showcasing this Wii game developed by Epicenter Studios and due to be available in Q1 2009. Real Heroes puts players in the soon-to-be soot-stained boots of a rookie firefighter who has just been assigned to a busy metropolitan fire station. Players will undergo a "baptism of fire" in an escalating array of emergency situations. Check full story for details.

Electronic Arts has released a new video developer diary for Skate 2, showcasing this upcoming skateboard game sequel developed for PS3 and Xbox 360. Skate 2 promises to deliver the feel of skating through innovative controls, authentic cameras and a fully reactive skateboarding city. In related news, Black Box, a studio of Electronic Arts, announced that it will be partnering with etnies, to bring their epic Goofy vs. Regular (GvR) skateboarding contest to the videogame world. Gamers will lead a team of goofy foot or regular foot pros as they pit the best skateboarders against each other in the ultimate team competition.

Midway has released a new Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe trailer, this time featuring John Tobias, co-creator of the Mortal Kombat franchise, who is talking about his role in creating the comic book that sets up the in-game story mode. The 16-page comic book to be published by DC Comics will be available as part of the North American Kollector's Edition of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is slated to be available November 16th in North America and November 21st in Europe, for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Shrapnel Games today announced they are still accepting pre-orders for War Plan Pacific - if you pre-order the game from now until October 31st though, it will cost you $33.45. Created by KE Studios, a development house based in the Puget Sound region, War Plan Pacific is a turn-based computer wargame for one or two players covering the entire war in the Pacific from 1941 until 1945. The game is slated for a November 20th release, priced $39.95.

Exit DS EU Release Date Confirmed and Screens
