Electronic Arts has released a new trailer from the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game, which will be launched in November 2008, to coincide with the Warner Bros. Pictures film based on J.K. Rowling's sixth Harry Potter book. In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, players will return to Hogwarts to help Harry survive a fraught sixth year. They will also have a chance to engage in exciting wizard duels, mix and brew magical ingredients in Potions class and take to the air to lead the Gryffindor Quidditch team to victory. Players may even get sidetracked by Ron's romantic entanglements as they journey towards a dramatic climax and discover the identity of the Half-Blood Prince.

Crazy Ballistics is a a 100% server side mod for Battlefield 2142 that provides new weapons, vehicles, maps, and game modes. The game client doesn't neeed to download anything before connecting to the EMS Gamers server. Everything is transferred to you before you get to the spawn screen during the verifying client data section, where it will take longer to verify data as it is being transferred and loaded into your system. This data is then cleared upon disconnecting from the server, so that you can go to another server without any issues. Sins of a Solar Empire v1.1 Beta Patch Released

Stardock has announced the release of a new (beta) patch for Sins of Solar Empire, the popular real-time space strategy game developed by Ironclad Games. This version not only includes a host of play balancing changes but new content such as an updated graphics engine, updated visuals, new damage animations, and more. Zoo Games today announced that Other Ocean Interactive Ltd is developing two Story Hour titles for Wii: Fairy Tales and Adventures. A modern take on such beloved tales as Cinderella, Snow White, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Paul Bunyan, Fairy Tales and Adventures will each offer four different stories that incorporate motion sensitive controls so that parents and preschoolers can tell stories together. Gamecock Joins GameTap

Gamecock Media Group today announced a new partnership with GameTap which includes the rights for the publisher's titles to be available for digital download in GameTap’s online store, as well as for subscription and ad-supported play. As part of the new agreement, future titles, such as Legendary and Velvet Assassin will also be available on GameTap. All games will be added GameTap's online digital retail storefront at launch and later added to the subscription service and ad-supported website.

Codemasters has released a new trailer for Rise of the Argonauts, an action RPG for major consoles and PC, in development at Liquid Entertainment and due to ship this autumn, for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Rise of the Argonauts is set in ancient Greece with players leading a team of warriors - including Jason, Hercules and Atalanta - through a world ruled by mythological gods. Each of the gods - Ares, Apollo, Hermes and Athena - has his or her own skill tree that gives the player a flexible and dynamic system for acquiring skills and improving their character. Players will also be able to align themselves with a god by choosing the dialogue that best fits the god's unique disposition.
