Starcraft 2 Screens #13

Our Starcraft 2 gallery has been updated with more concept art and screenshots, illustrating the upcoming sequel to one of the most popular RTS games ever released. StarCraft II will feature the return of the Protoss, Terran, and Zerg races, overhauled and re-imagined with Blizzard's signature approach to game balance. Each race will be further distinguished from the others, with several new units and new gameplay mechanics, as well as new abilities for some of the classic StarCraft units that will be making a reappearance in the game. StarCraft II will also feature a custom 3D-graphics engine with realistic physics and the ability to render several large, highly detailed units and massive armies on-screen simultaneously. StarCraft II will include a unique single-player campaign, as well as fast-paced online play through an upgraded version of Blizzard's Battle.net. In addition, the game will come with a powerful, full-featured map editor that will put the same tools used by Blizzard's designers into the hands of players.

Our gallery has been updated with new artwork and screenshots from Diablo III, illustrating the third installment in the popular Diablo franchise, in development for Windows and Macintosh. Diablo III will pick up the story twenty years after the events of Diablo II. Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal have been defeated, but the Worldstone, which once shielded the inhabitants of the world of Sanctuary from the forces of both Heaven and Hell, has been destroyed, and evil once again stirs in Tristram. Playing as a hero from one of five distinct character classes, players will acquire powerful items, spells, and abilities as they explore new and familiar areas of Sanctuary and battle hordes of demons to safeguard the world from the horrors that have arisen.

Ca3D-Engine v8.09 Demo

Carsten Fuchs has released an updated demo of Ca3D-Engine, a modern 3D graphics engine which can be used to create a variety of 3D applications, including games, simulations, and training and architectural software. The development kit is freely available, and the DeathMatch MOD code is open-source. The latest version implements a huge number of improvements and usability enhancements to the Ca3DE World Editor "CaWE", the powerful and easy-to-use world editor that is shipped with the demo releases and makes the creation of new worlds for the Ca3D-Engine convenient and easy.

In Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis, players find themselves once again in Rivellon, a timeless world full of awe and magic, shattered and frightened by the apocalyptic wars of the past. Players begin as a Dragon Slayer, hunters whom travel the countryside determined to rid their lands of Dragons. As the story of Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis unfolds, the player will discover new abilities and possibilities as they evolve into a legendary Dragon Lord. In addition, the player character's abilities can be steadily improved over the course of the game and specialised in specific areas.

Rising Star Games also announced that R-Type Tactics is now due to be available across Europe from September 12, 2008. For the first time in the series, you will take control of the Bydo forces as they launch their assault on Earth. Dungeon Maker Delayed

Previously scheduled for September 19th, 2008, Dungeon Maker will be available on October 24th, Rising Star Games announced. Developed exclusively for the Nintendo DS, Dungeon Maker offers the opportunity to create unique dungeons by giving the player total control over where they choose to place tunnels and chambers. Having created a maze, traps can then be set in order to entice monsters to enter. The more desirable the dungeons are, the more colourful monsters that can be attracted, resulting in catching rarer and larger beasts. Having lured a monster into the dungeon, defeating them and taking their treasures boost strength and gives access to new skills.
