Many fans will fall in love with the new CGI movies that are in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex video game. I doubt that there is any conflict of interest for not including any movie or TV series footage into the game. The main reason for using just computer animated graphics in our cut scenes was to make transitions between game play and movies seamless. The player would then be continuously emerged in the story and game.

This immersion is accomplished with finely rendered movies that the play watched between stages. This new medium for expressing GITS will give fans of the series a new perspective on the look and feel of the story and characters, without falling away from original idea of Masamune Shirow. This game has done just that, re-creating the atmosphere of the original story in a way that can be appreciated by all.

With the new graphics, gamers and people not familiar with anime will be drawn in. They will not only like the game but gain a new interest in the whole story of GITS and other anime titles.
