This is Pac-Man meets Mario 64. The story resembles that of the Super Mario saga, what with all the kidnappings and all. This time, two of the Pac-Mans ghost friends have been abducted and he must then fight ghoul-like creatures in a 3D Pac Man world. The Pac Man format of pellet eating and 3D mazes/worlds are kept from all the classics, but new and improved pellets are introduced, which Pac Man may purchase, giving him new powers and abilities in order to advance in the levels and defeat your enemies. The Stomp Pellets give him the ability to smash opponents in a single jump. Essentially, you run around in a 3D world collecting currency pellets, which are in turn used to buy enhancements and defeat enemies in order to progress in the story.
The graphics in Pac Man World 3 were very fluid, smooth and Mario 64 like. The boards seem a tad challenging but it wouldnt be a Pac-Man game without a challenge. Overall, this game is mostly for people who enjoyed the original Pac Man titles and Mario 64.
