Nickelodeon has announced the launch of a new vertical SpongeBob fan site where fans of all ages around the world can soak up all things SpongeBob. Both adults and kids will find an age-appropriate community, complete with personalized profiles, chat features and playlists; the ability to search for favorite SpongeBob moments or comment on the funniest videos; or a new mini-game every week. Since its launch in July 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has emerged as a pop-culture phenomenon with 70 million viewers monthly, and has been the number-one animated program with Kids 2-11 for more than seven consecutive years.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Release Date

Atari announced today that Ghostbusters: The Video Game will hit the store shelves in North America on 16 June 2009 followed by worldwide release on 19 June. Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a title based on the classic films and featuring the original film cast, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson. When Manhattan is once again overrun by ghosts, players will take on the role of a new recruit joining the Ghostbusters team. The game is being developed by Terminal Reality for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC and by Red Fly Studios for PS2, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS.

Hudson Entertainment Mobile 2009 Line-Up Announced

Hudson Entertainment sent over a press release announcing that its mobile entertainment lineup for 2009 will include multiple new titles for the Apple iPhone, iTouch and iPod, as well as Android and many other mobile handsets. Hudson will bring more than 10 titles to the iPhone, iTouch and iPod in 2009 including Crayon Physics Deluxe. Hudson will continue its support of the Android platform with multiple titles in 2009, including the first Bomberman game to hit the platform in Bomberman Dojo and turn-based strategy game, Military Madness. High Voltage Software has announced that High Voltage Hot Rod Show will be available via WiiWare on January 19th at a price of 1,000 Wii Points. High Voltage Hot Rod Show is a Wii racing title that requires players to master more than the basic racing skills to compete. A unique stunt system gives players multiple ways to build boost, which drastically increases a Hot Rod's speed. If you get too greedy, you might crash and burn.

Paradox Interactive today announced the release of a new development diary for Elven Legacy, the standalone add-on to Fantasy Wars, scheduled to hit the store shelves in March 2009. Developed by 1C:Ino-Co studio, Elven Legacy features a nonlinear storyline, two primary campaigns, a wide variety of bonus missions, as well as a map editor. Watchmen: The End is Nigh Trailer #2

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released the second trailer for Watchmen: The End is Nigh, an episodic downloadable game aimed to capture the action and intrigue of the Watchmen feature film, directed by Zack Snyder, who previously helmed the blockbuster 300. The videogame based on Watchmen will go beyond the film and delve into the characters, rivalries and challenges in a mature action-brawler. The game provides gamers with visceral superhero combat as urban vigilantes Rorschach and Nite Owl. Being made by Danish developer Deadline Games, Watchmen will be available later this year, for Xbox 360, PC and PS3.

We have a pair of gameplay movies from InFamous, showcasing this action adventure game in the works at Sucker Punch Productions for PS3. Cole, an everyday guy, sets out to deliver a package in the downtown area of Empire City. Present at the scene of a devastating explosion that rocks Empire City, he barely manages to survive the event. As riots erupt in the aftermath, the city collapses into chaos and becomes overrun by powerful criminals. The city is quarantined from the mainland, and television broadcasts link Cole to the scene of the crime. Cole is now a wanted man, but he's also wielding extraordinary powers as a result of the explosion. As an evolving mystery unfolds, Cole must learn how to grasp his newfound super powers as he searches for the real culprits behind the blast in an attempt to rescue Empire City from complete anarchy.

SEGA has released a new trailer from Samba de Amigo, showcasing the DLC (Downloadable Content) which is now available via WiiWare. Samba De Amigo is a game that lets players shake to the beats of a samba-infused soundtrack comprised of popular new songs as well as fan-favourites from the original dreamcast game. Playing as the grinning, sombrero-topped monkey, Amigo, players shake the Wii Remote and Nunchuk like maracas, in time with the visual beats of the music on-screen.
