Skara in Epic Agreement to Use Unreal Engine 4
Company: 8-Bit Studio
LONDON, UK – June 21, 2013 – 8-bit Studios has formalized an agreement with Epic Games to use Epic’s latest Unreal Engine 4 to develop the ground breaking game, Skara—the Blade Remains. Skara will be one of very few licensed to use the “most world-class game engine to date.”

“Unreal 4 will allow us to develop Skara with the features and quality we wanted.” said Pablo, co-founder of Skara, “It is an enormous privilege to be licensed to use it and we are extremely excited to begin experimenting with it.”

Unreal Engine 4’s architecture will allow Skara to cut down on development time, ensuring a scheduled Beta delivery for December 2013. With its new features, Unreal Engine 4 will ensure Skara achieves high-end visuals, while remaining both scalable and accessible to all different platforms, including the next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One.

The first MVO, Skara—the Blade Remains is both a Multiplayer game and a Versus game that will allow live action and hand-to-hand combat between as many as 8 x8 players in multiple arenas.
