Acclaim Announces Closed Beta for DANCE! Online MMODG
Company: Acclaim
Los Angeles (January 11, 2007) - Acclaim Games announces the start of Closed Beta testing for DANCE! Online, a FREE massively multiplayer online dancing game (MMODG) for your PC where you can groove with your friends to hit songs and compete in online dance competitions. With the start of Closed Beta, players will now be able to experience this fun and addictive online dancing game for the very first time.

Since October 2006, thousands of gamers have signed up to participate in Closed Beta via www.danceonlinegame.com, the official DANCE! Online website.

The game is targeted to dance music lovers and online gamers looking for a fun and exciting multiplayer dancing game where they can tear up the virtual dance floor. Using either a keyboard or supported dance pad, players will be able to dance in an interactive music video right on their PC, all this at no cost at all. By keeping in sync with the beat, players will be able to perfect their dancing skills that range from basic steps to the wildest dance moves. DANCE! Online will also feature the hit music in a variety of styles and genres from the world’s hottest music artists.

“I’m certainly proud to launch the first ever massively multiplayer dancing game in the USA”, says veteran game director David Perry. "A free game with real hit songs to dance to, this has never happened before.  We've come up with an entirely new way to work with the music industry, on a game that costs nothing to play.   DANCE! Online is going to completely revolutionize the online game space. I'm expecting that this dancing game will create a new culture, changing the way gamers and music artists interact in today’s virtual world."

DANCE! Online is the fourth release from the new Acclaim, a company focused on providing quality multiplayer online games for the PC. And like all of Acclaim’s other games, DANCE! Online will be completely free to download and play. Instead of charging a subscription fee, the game will be supported by in-game advertising and item purchasing which will allow players to customize their characters with the latest gear and accessories. Acclaim has already partnered with IGA Worldwide to provide in-game advertising for its other online game titles.

To play DANCE! Online and participate in Closed Beta testing, registered players must receive an official invitation by email. Invitations will be emailed regularly on a first come, first served basis. Fans that have not yet registered are encouraged to sign up at www.danceonlinegame.com, as Closed Beta space may be limited. Register now to be one of the first to experience this exciting new game!
