Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for Wii Hits Europe
Company: Atari
LYON, FRANCE – 15 February 2008 – Atari today announced that NAMCO BANDAI Games’ Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for Wii is available at retailers across Europe. The Wii launch follows the European release of the PlayStation®2 version in November 2007. Developed by NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. / Spike, and distributed in Europe by Atari, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 combines the lightning fast fighting and action that have made Budokai Tenkaichi 1 and Budokai Tenkaichi 2 the #1 fighting games of 2005 and 2006.

With every new iteration of the series, the development team strive to bring the player closer to the sensation of actually playing the anime TV show. Improving upon last year’s hit 3D fighting experience, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 offers more than 160 playable characters with over 20 new characters that have never been seen in any other DBZ video games such as Nail, King Cold and King Vegeta. Following Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for Wii, the development team have modified and refined the gameplay for Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 including an overhaul of the control system making even better use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuck to deliver an exceptionally fluid and intuitive gameplay experience.

Enhanced fighting techniques can be put to devastating use on over 30 battle stages which fans will love, with upgraded shading techniques delivering spectacular and devastating effects. Environments have also been enhanced to feature day and night stages, with the power of the moon in the night stages giving players additional ways to transform their characters and more opportunities to recreate some of their favourite moments from the TV show.

The immensely popular Dragon Ball Z series is the gold standard of anime-based video games, with more than 25 different games and over 10 million units sold since May 2002.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for Wii and PlayStation 2 is on sale now at retailers across Europe, with a special PS2 collector’s edition also available including the game, exclusive digital art book and giant wall poster.
