March 26, 2010 - Seattle, Washington - Atomic Operations, an entertainment production studio and original IP creation house led by industry veteran, Chris Millar, announces today a new relationship with Sony Computer Entertainment America. After leading the development team during the original development of Fat Princess for the PlayStation®Network (PSN) on the PlayStation®3 (PS3™) system, Millar has signed on with fellow Fat Princess team members, John Mundy and Chris Coster, to create much-anticipated new DLC content for the award-winning title as the newly-formed and independent Atomic Operations.
“Sony was a fantastic partner during the original development of Fat Princess, a unique and ever-expanding franchise. We are proud to be working again with some of the strongest creative leaders in the gaming industry, dedicated to building award-winning gaming experiences,” says Chris Millar, CEO of Atomic Operations. “Fat Princess was one of Sony’s fastest-selling PSN chart-toppers, and we are now actively responding to feature requests from fans. The upcoming content will be the icing on the cake for players of this amusing and irreverent multiplayer game.”
Fat Princess, released in July 2009, became an immediate hit on the PSN. The title provides players a chance to team up with friends in a 32-player battle royale to save their beloved Fat Princess.
“Chris Millar has always provided Sony with great ideas and content,” said Tina Kowalewski, Director of External Development. “We are excited to continue work on Fat Princess with Atomic, and are happy to partner with such a creative studio. We are looking forward to what the Atomic Operations team will bring us next.”
