Capcom Goes Big at 2007 International Comic-Con in San Diego
Company: Capcom
Capcom has an incredibly busy Comicon planned – far bigger than what we did at E3! How much does Capcom love its community? THIS MUCH!

We will representing in a 30x60 booth that features open gaming stations, allowing attendees to go hands-on with Zack & Wiki, Harvey Birdman, Mega Man Star Force and Mega Man ZX Advent, Ace Attorney: , Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Rocketmen and Moto GP. Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles will be playable in a private pod for those over the age of 17.

The Capcom store will feature tons of Capcom games (some at blow-out prices!), a new Street Fighter shirt produced exclusively for Comicon, licensed merchandise such as Udon’s rare hardcover Art of Capcom book and some exclusive Japanese merchandise imported specifically for the show! Every purchase from the Capcom store nets cool freebies, such as animation cells, strategy guides, bobble-heads or t-shirts.

The highlight of the entire booth will be our 20x20 boxing ring arena, where we will be featuring 16 player Lost Planet tournaments, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix tournaments, the EVO finals and performances from several Nerdcore rappers. The Capcom Arena is sure to be a huge crowd draw during the show, as passers-by will be able to watch the tournaments on overhead 50” monitors as they happen.

On top of Nerdcore rappers, cosplay contests, tournaments and demos, we’ll also be tossing tons of Capcom freebies to the crowd (Thundersticks! Zack and Wiki stickers! Capcom trading cards!), host autograph sessions with Minae Matsukawa-san (the producer of the Ace Attorney series) and comics legend Marv Wolfman, provide photo ops with Mega Man and Harvey Birdman…

Whew. In short: we’re going to be busy, Comicon is going to be rad and the Capcom community is going to be very, very happy. See you in San Diego July 25 through the 29!
