At the Sapphire Beach Medical Institute, the lives and loves of the hospital's doctors and nurses, as well as the sneezes and diseases of its patients, will come alive this June when Hospital Tycoonâ„¢ launches, exclusively for PC.
Fusing 'tycoon' style gameplay with character simulation and a light-hearted narrative, the game's Story mode adds a soap-opera feel as players progress through episodes of hospital drama.
Each episode explores a storyline involving a hospital's staff and patients, whilst challenging the player to find cures for bizarre new diseases.
From the everyday Explosive Sneezing, where a simple 'atishoo' can launch the unfortunate patient several feet into the air, to the rarer Monkey Nuts, where patients sprout fur, climb furniture and favour bananas, there's always something funny to see and cure.
Staff in Hospital Tycoon™ have rich behaviours that players can nurture and influence as the game progresses. Players may choose to encourage a fall-out or a friendship and can train staff to improve their skill levels. There's also the upkeep of each hospital to control and develop; dedicated areas can be built to support additional medical needs – surgery, diagnosis, physiotherapy and more.
As more patients are cured, the more players can expand their medical empire and attract even more patients. However, as the hospital becomes busier, watch out for the spread of infectious conditions or you'll soon have an epidemic running riot through the facility.
