Deep Silver, the games label of Koch Media, a leading producer and distributor of digital entertainment products, announced that the European Closed Beta phase for the free-to-play real-time strategy game SAGA Online has started today.
Participants can now test the game from Silverlode Interactive in English on a European server. The estimated duration of this Closed Beta phase is four weeks, and interested gamers may still register at www.playsaga.eu even after the start of the program. Each player will receive a starting in-game credit to the amount of 5.000 SAGA Credits, which can be invested in Booster Packs, Premium Items etc.
The SAGA Online world is a traditional fantasy setting with characters such as elves, orcs, dragons, dwarfs, and giants. In this free-of-charge, persistent massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game players create their own realm, fight or trade with each other, and cooperate with friends to complete quests and win experience and loot. Among other things, the free-to-play MMORTS game SAGA Online offers more than 1,000 quests and six factions, each with their own individual units and unique playing styles. SAGA Online includes many successful features of massively multiplayer online games, such as guilds, raids, a live auction house for exchanging cards, equipment upgrades, joint team quests, treasure raids, etc. In addition, the game offers real-time strategy features such as city construction, resource management, and warfare.
SAGA Online combines challenging real-time strategy gameplay and digital collectible cards in a persistent online world.
Deep Silver will launch the massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game SAGA Online in Europe probably in the second quarter of 2010.
