Hamburg, Germany - July 25th, 2013 – The wait is over! Fishlabs Entertainment’s multi-award-winning flagship title Galaxy on Fire 2™ HD has just blazed onto Google Play™ as a free download. Prior to the launch of the new “All Android” version, the critically acclaimed reference title for open space games on mobile has only been available for selected Android devices, such as the Sony Xperia PLAY or the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Nexus. The new version, however, is available on Android™ smartphones and tablets running Android 3.0 and above. Besides the epic storyline of the main game, which offers approximately 10 hours of action-packed sci-fi gaming in a vast universe with hundreds of individual space stations and planets, the Android community can now also look forward to the tantalizing campaigns of the extensive add-ons Valkyrie™ and Supernova™. Both expansion packs can be unlocked via in-app-purchase and offer tons of new content as well as two exciting new adventures within the endless reaches of the Galaxy on Fire universe. While the iOS portings of the add-ons can only be played once the previous campaigns have been finished, the Android versions of Valkyrie™ and Supernova™ can also be started directly, even if the earlier storylines have not yet been completed. In addition to the main game and the add-ons, the Android gamers can last but not least also look forward to getting hold of their own space station in the form of the notorious Kaamo Club and laying their hands on various goodies, such as credit packs and in-game discounts, via IAP.
“In the past couple of months, Android has made a giant leap forwards,” says Michael Schade, CEO of Fishlabs Entertainment. “Not least because of to its enormous install base and popularity, it has become an extremely important platform for mobile games developers such as Fishlabs. About Galaxy on Fire 2™ HD:
In Galaxy on Fire 2™ HD the player will not only be able to explore a vast, living galaxy with more than 30 different star systems, 100 individual space stations and 50 fully customizable space ships, but he will also be able to follow a rich and engrossing story line with full English voice acting. The title’s epic plot centres on the protagonist Keith T. Maxwell’s bold and daring adventures in a war-torn galaxy governed by four different factions, namely the Terrans, the Vossk, the Nivelians and the Midorians.
Due to a malfunction of his hyper drive, Keith T. Maxwell is catapulted through space and time. 35 years later, he awakens at the far end of the galaxy, where he soon realizes that quite a lot has changed during his unintentional absence. An aggressive and particularly devious alien menace known as Voids threatens the fragile peace between the different alien races by launching devastating raids on freighters and convoys of all factions. And Keith T. Maxwell is the only one who can stand up to this seemingly invincible enemy and save the universe from its impending descent into chaos.
The add-ons Valkyrie and Supernova add two new campaigns and tons of new content, such as space ships, weapons, power-ups, star systems and gameplay features, to the main game. All in all, the add-ons expand the 10-hour-playtime of Galaxy on Fire 2™ HD by another 15-20 hours.
