COLUMBIA, SC – Spanish game developer Novarama found SpeedTree®RT to be simple to integrate, but the firm also considered the software vital to creating the convincing worlds of their new strategic action title, Fallen Lords: Condemnation.
The game, set in the Land of the Dead, presents expansive environments, gloomy jungles and plains, all coupled with massive real-time battles. “Our game is basically a fighting title,†said Novarama’s CEO Dani Sanchez-Crespo, “but indeed a special one: hundreds of units on-screen, on an open battlefield that’s quite a challenge.â€
“Integration was a breeze,†Lead Programmer Juan Abadia said, “and that allowed us to have a lot of time to focus on delivering our creative vision.â€
Mr. Sanchez-Crespo added that “we evaluated several options, and SpeedTree is the only foliage technology that allowed us to create the fantasy environments needed for Fallen Lords: Condemnation: huge outdoors environments wih thousands of trees, and epic armies battling for victory or survival.â€
