Company: IDV
COLUMBIA, SC – DATAcrea s.r.o., a Slovakian technology firm founded in 1993, has chosen SpeedTree®RT for the GolfBlaster®3D golf simulation it has created in partnership with Datalink SW.

“SpeedTree was a very good choice for us, because of the large library of trees at our disposal, and the realistic wind effects,” said Alexander Timko, DATAcrea founder and managing director.

“SpeedGrass makes our scenery very nice too,” Mr. Timko added, referring to a virtual grass product available to SpeedTreeRT support customers.

GolfBlaster3D, billed as the most advanced and accurate indoor golf simulator on the market, offers players around the world the chance to practice their swing, improve their game and simply enjoy the sport.

GolfBlaster3D was created with the OGRE open source rendering engine, said Mr. Timko, noting that DATAcrea also developed a golf course creation tool so customers can build and play on unique courses.

SpeedTreeRT, winner of the 2005 Front Line Award for middleware, delivers highly realistic trees and plants, with adjustable wind effects, user-configurable and seamless LOD transitions, and an included library of hundreds of tree, plant and marine models representing more than 200 core species.
