“We are excited about our partnership with Webzen and the new launch of Global MU Online. We believe that the key of a successful MMOG is community. And the MU community Webzen has established is already world-class. What K2 Network adds to that is quality services. We are investing in infrastructure, game masters, improved hosting and connection speed, tighter control on hacks and cheats, and more heart-pumping PvP (Player vs. Player) events to make Global MU Online the best game experience on the Internet. We will make Global MU Online the pre-eminent global community of MMO gamers in the Western Hemisphere,†said Joshua Hong, Chief Executive Officer of K2 Network, Inc.
“We are thrilled to partner with K2 Network for Global MU Online. The partnership will raise the bar on Webzen’s unceasing commitment to the MU community and hopes to amaze the fans with new updates and improved customer service. In addition, we expect this partnership will create an important opportunity for us to enhance the overall perception about the global online game industry,†said Nam-Ju Kim, Chief Executive Officer of Webzen.
Webzen (Nasdaq: WZEN - News) launched the GMO as a free basic service in October 2003. The original MU online was the first 3D Massive Multiplayer Online Game launched in Korea, and celebrated its 4th anniversary on the 19th of November, 2005.
