Symbiosis Media, the specialist games agency, has secured a six-figure UK-orientated barter partnership deal between Lycos UK Ltd and Konami's leading football title, Pro Evolution Soccer 4, which launches today (15 October).
The deal sees a total re-brand of the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) League website, www.pesleague.co.uk. The site, which is to be promoted on all POS material as well as in press and outdoor ads for the game, will be fully co-branded and features Lycos UK Ltd as headline sponsor.
In return, Lycos UK Ltd will promote Pro Evolution Soccer 4 throughout Lycos.co.uk using banners, rich media and homepage advertising, in addition to permanent placement within the Games channel.
The partnership will run for a period of 6 months, during which time Lycos UK Ltd will also sell online media for pesleague.co.uk, which receives up to 5 million impressions a month.
Maryam Bazargan, Director at Symbiosis Media commented: "This is a perfect example of partners playing to their respective strengths and maximising their assets to mutual benefit."
"The PES League is a vital part of our continued promotion of the Pro Evolution Soccer range," commented Jon Murphy, UK PR and Marketing Manager for Konami. "This deal will introduce the site to an even wider audience and is perfectly timed as we look to extend the league's range."
Symbiosis Media is currently discussing a number of future partnerships between media owners, advertisers and games publishers/developers to harness partnership potential and extend reach via shared communications objectives.
