Leipzig, Germany - May 18, 2007 - The GC Developers Conference, Europe's foremost
gathering for game developers, announced their role in supporting the first ever GC
Asia Conference (GCAC) in Singapore. The conference is devoted to Asian developers,
and will be taking place alongside Games Convention Asia (GC Asia) on September 6th
and 7th.
"The GCAC is a fantastic opportunity to promote communication between developers and
publishers in Asia and Europe, as well as to boost knowledge transfer," said Frank
Sliwka, Project Director of GCDC. "Using our know-how, we plan to help the
conference establish itself as the most important developer platform in Asia."
Leipziger Messe International (LMI) GmbH, a subsidiary of Leipziger Messe GmbH, will
be co-organizing GC Asia and GCAC. "The GC Asia exhibition in conjunction with the
GCAC conference is the perfect environment for consolidating the Asian Pacific
growth market for interactive entertainment, infotainment, edutainment and hardware,
as well as building and strengthening business relations and getting to know Asian
culture a little better," explained Jörg Zeissig, General Manager of LMI.
Both GCAC and GC Asia will be hosted at the Suntec Singapore International
Convention & Exhibition Centre. The conference program includes international
lectures and workshops on current topics in the games industry, as well as
up-and-coming issues, with a focus on Asian themes.
Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the methods of
entering the Asian and European markets. An overview of subjects that will be
discussed at the conference is available at http://www.gc-asia.sg.
