Arlington, VT, August 1st 2013 – Matrix Games (www.matrixgames.com) and NorbSoftDev (www.norboftdev.net) are proud to announce the release of the v1.61 Update for Scourge of War: Chancellorsville, one of the chapters of the definitive American Civil War grand tactical wargame series of this generation: Scourge of War.
The v1.61 Update adds new features like no limit on the number of human courier messages in Single Player and Multiplayer games and improvement in the realism of the "line of sight" calculation for units. It also fixes some bugs like the one that prevented courier orders from being obeyed until the "Time" setting was altered the one that prevented courier orders from being executed until a previous "Move to This Map Point" destination was reached. This also brings Scourge of War: Chancellorsville up to date with the Anniversary Edition release level and ensures multiplayer compatibility.

Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia defeated a Union army twice its size. With the Union Army of the Potomac under the command of Maj. Gen. Joseph Hooker heading towards Richmond to capture the Confederate capital, the Confederate Army must make a stand to turn the tide. Players will take command of either the Union or Confederate forces from May 1st through May 6th, 1863 to either halt the Union advance or rout the Confederates.
