NEWBURYPORT, Mass. – March 21, 2012 – Muzzy Lane Software is proud to announce that its grand strategy game Making History II: The War of the World has been reduced in price to $19.99 and now includes a full-featured Game Editor to let players create and play their own scenarios of global conquest. MHII is available in English, German, and French on the PC and on Mac OSX.
The game, which overcame initial criticism to develop a loyal following and earn a nomination for Strategy Game of the Year in 2011, has now achieved its goal of creating an ambitious strategy game that includes the critical elements of economics and diplomacy as well as military battles. “Making History II has continued to develop and improve since it was launched in 2010”, says Muzzy Lane Product Manager Chris Parsons. “The Game Editor is just the icing on the cake for our fantastic user community and all strategy wargamers. It’s an amazing tool for players to create their own content. Players can enjoy hundreds of hours of gameplay, and the reduced price makes it an even better deal.”
Coinciding with the price drop and the editor release is yet another update yet to the game, adding further polish and improving the AI. The editor’s interface makes it easy for players to quickly download and play new user-created content from the Making History Gaming Headquarters where the MH community gathers and to communicate and find available games to join.
The game can be downloaded immediately from the Making History Gaming Headquarters website, http://making-history.com, and from premier online locations such as Steam, Gamefly, Gamestop’s digital store, Matrix Games, the Mac Game Store and GamersGate, among others. A free 50 turn demo is also available.
