Hearts of Iron Ii: Doomsday 1.2 update
New York, USA (May 31, 2006) - "Hearts of Iron II: Doomsday" gives the player a chance to explore what would have happened if WWII had continued into WWIII and the United States, as leader of the Allied Nations, went head-to-head against the Soviet Union under communist rule. The 1.2 update has now been released for this stand-alone expansion to critically acclaimed "Hearts of Iron II".

Amongst other things, the update includes:

- New technologies for the German Land doctrine tree.
- A revised experience system based on feedback from a player research group.
- Improvements to the multiplayer function resulting in smoother gameplay.
- Tweaks to convoys, air unit missions & escort fighters.
