Grome Version 1.2 Released
Company: Quad Software
Europe, March 12, 2008 – Quad Software announced today the release of version 1.2 of Grome modeler. Grome is a terrain and virtual scene modeling application used by professional game developers and companies from 3D simulation industry.

Continuing the development on already successful previous version, the authors added support for automate tasks by scripting and new editing brushes while improving existing tools processing speed. Integration with client developing pipelines and engines was enhanced with new data exporting plug-ins capable of exporting very large data sets.

Commercially available for over a year now, Grome modeler was used for AAA game titles for latest generation consoles and PC. Latest list of major game studio licensees includes Square Enix, CCP (creators of EVE Online ®) and Star Vault (MMO game developers). Grome is also used by several universities for graphical courses and multimedia projects.

“During the commercial existence of our product we listen to our clients’ suggestions and based on that we try to continually improve our application. I think that version 1.2 is a good improvement to all since we’ve added quite interesting new features like brush operating fractals and also largely optimized previous editing“, says Adrian Licuriceanu, Quad Software Technical Director in charge of Grome development.

Grome 1.2 is freely available for current clients from the developer official site.
