Rapid Reality’s New Sci-Fi Game, Phylon, Begins Open Beta
Following the successful Closed Beta testing and in anticipation of the April 6, 2007 release, Rapid Reality Studios announces the launch of the Phylon Open Beta. The Beta will run on IGN’s FilePlanet from March 21 - April 5, 2007.

The Phylon Closed Beta testing was conducted on IGN from March 7 – March 20, 2007. Tracy Spaight, COO of Rapid Reality Studios, is pleased with the overall results of the testing phase, stating “…the closed beta ran smoother than we anticipated and we are happy with the results. The feedback from the beta testers has been invaluable. We look forward to Open Beta and the continued input from the community.”

The game was also met with praise by gamers involved with the Closed Beta who had the following to say:

"Overall I am really appreciating the changes you guys (Rapid Reality) are making and have made since beta started. Nice job."

“…I think if the DEV's (Rapid Reality) take all the feedback from these forums they could have a great game on their hands."

IGN’s Dave Kosak (aka “Fargo”) echoed the positive sentiments of the game testers declaring Phylon, "A wild mix of an MMO and a first-person shooter. With Frogs."

Phylon combines the fast-paced action of a traditional shooter with the persistence and depth of an MMO. Join players from around the world as part of the Bloblic Imperium, the Amphibian resistance, or the Terran colonists in their struggle for control of the planet Anura. Crush your enemies in instanced battle arenas, including Deathmatch and Domination. Advance in skill and unlock access to hundreds of unique items, including jet packs, energy shields, power-ups, and weapons.
