Razer Announces One Million Dollar Sponsorship for Computer Gamers

Singapore, World Cyber Games Grand Finals, 16 November 2005 - Razer, the world's leading brand in high-end computer gaming peripherals, announces an unprecedented one million dollar sponsorship fund for computer gaming teams and individual gamers for the year 2006.
Razer, who has been active since 1999 in the sponsoring of computer gaming tournaments, teams and individual players, will spend up to one million
dollars to sponsor top amateur and professional gamers for the calendar year of 2006.
The sponsorships will be made under Razer's For Gamers By Gamers Sponsorship Fund and will cover the entire globe from the Americas to Europe to
Asia-Pacific. The typical sponsorship will range from receiving Razer's cutting edge gaming peripherals, to being awarded full financial support for travel expenses to global gaming events, to even providing full time salaries for professional gamers. Team Managers and individual gamers are encouraged to contact Razer for full details, timing and qualifying criteria.
Razer's President, Robert "Razerguy" Krakoff says "Our sponsorships are a way of saying thank you to all the gamers who have supported our products
and made competitive gaming a way of life", he continues "Razer has been sponsoring top computer gamers since the late 90s with names like Fatal1ty, Sujoy, Hakeem, Xenon and teams like SK, Team EYE and Team Fnatic, etc and its time to recognize the achievements of gamers by supporting them in the right way."
Team and individual gamers are encouraged to submit backgrounds and biographies beginning the week following Thanksgiving (November 28, 2005).
Razer crowns a series of world's firsts in the e-sports arena with the one million dollars For Gamers By Gamers Sponsorship Fund, following other
events such as the world's first $100,000.00 USD Razer/CPL Tournament and sponsorships of other leading leagues and tournaments such as the World Cyber Games and the World Electronic Games.
