Order of War Marks One Month of Release with Free Downloadable Content Update

(October 22) – To celebrate the one-month anniversary of the release of ORDER OF WAR, Square Enix and Wargaming.net will release a batch of free downloadable content for the game today, Thursday, October 22. ORDER OF WAR is the action-focused World War II strategy game developed by Wargaming.net for personal computer that focuses on the climactic summer of 1944 and brings realistic and historically accurate settings and scenarios to bear on intense, combat-focused strategy gameplay.
The downloadable content, which is free to all owners of ORDER OF WAR, is comprised of formerly exclusive bonuses that were available only through special pre-order offers at participating retailers. With this update, all players will have identical content, regardless of where they purchased the game.
The free downloadable content update includes:
· Heavy Bomber Squadrons: Addition of German Arado and Allied B-24 Marauder heavy bomber units to air support.
· Infantry Mortar Launchers: Addition of infantry mortar units.
· Off-Map Heavy Artillery: Addition of heavy artillery strikes to the air support menu.
· Survival Mission Mode: New survival mission mode where you fend off waves of attacking enemies for as long as possible.
To receive the free downloadable content, players of ORDER OF WAR need only to start the game. When the game connects to Steam, the Steam system will automatically download and update their install with the DLC items.
Since ORDER OF WAR was released in late September, the game has enjoyed significant critical success, including a “B+” from 1UP, an “8.25” from Game Informer, an “8.0” from IGN, an “8.5” from GameZone and a “B+” from GamingNexus. The game is now available at retail stores across North America as well as through Steam.

Order of War “Fighters Need Friends Friday” Launches This Friday
This Friday marks the first “Fighters Need Friends Friday,” a community-reward giveaway for friends and family of current players to get into the game and join the battle. Interested gamers who have not yet bought the game will have an opportunity to nab a free Steam download code through the game’s official Facebook Page. To take part in the giveaway, just join the Official ORDER OF WAR Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Order-of-War/116852549098) . The Steam code will be released as a “status update” on Friday and the first person to use it through Steam gets the game free. This is first-come, first served. Hints as to the timing of the code release will be released on the FB page.
