TORRANCE, Calif., November 18, 2008 - Video game developer and publisher Tecmo® announced today the release of TECMO BOWL®: KICKOFF for Nintendo DS™. Based on the wildly popular Tecmo Super Bowl™, TECMO BOWL: KICKOFF adapts the old-school style and revitalizes it for a newer generation of gamers. The classic, over-the-top, all-American football game enables players of all levels to engage in a fun filled, fast paced, arcade style of football.
The title earned IGN’s Best of E3 2008, Best Sports Game for Nintendo DS as well as a runner-up spot for 1UP’s Best of E3, Best Nintendo DS Game.

Tecmo has teamed up with Pop Warner Football as the Official Video Game Sponsor of the 52nd Pop Warner Super Bowl to be held December 6-13th in Orlando, FL. The Pop Warner Super Bowl features more than 70 football teams and 400 cheer and dance squads from across the country. Founded in 1929, Pop Warner Little Scholars is a non-profit organization that provides youth football and cheer & dance programs for participants in 43 states and several countries around the world and is the only youth sports program that mandates academic proficiency in order to play. Consisting of approximately 400,000 participants ranging from ages 5 to 16 years old, Pop Warner is the oldest and largest youth football, cheer and dance program in the world.
