The LEGO Group and Amuzo Games team up for a brand new LEGO® Hero Factory game
Billund, Denmark (Dec 17, 2012) - The LEGO Group, LEGO® Video Games and Amuzo Games (a subsidiary of 4T2 Multimedia) are expanding their partnership and today announced a new Hero Factory game to launch in January 2013. The game will be available on mobile and web platforms and will be the first time that The LEGO Group has licensed the release of a mobile game with in-app purchases.

The new game, Hero Factory Brain Attack, sees Makuhero City under attack from evil brains that have possessed inhabitants across the planet and are now threatening the security of the Hero Factory. Players must defend a number of key locations around the city to prevent the marauding brains from seizing control. To help them in their task, they can choose a sidekick to fight alongside. Their team mate can be chosen from their friends on LEGO ID or from the ranks of experienced Heroes: Bulk, Breeze, Rock and Furno. Players can also spend game points on upgrading their weaponry and armour to the latest Hero technology. Game points are earned in game but can also be unlocked using unique codes on the physical LEGO Hero Factory products. The first release of the game will see frenetic action across four locations: the neon-lit Makuhero city streets, a shopping mall, a gloomy scrapyard and the city’s futuristic space port. A further three levels will be released in Summer 2013.

4T2 began creating games for The LEGO Group in 2007. In 2011 they helped shape the digital strategy for both LEGO Friends and LEGO Hero Factory by creating accompanying gaming content for each brand. To date, 4T2’s games for The LEGO Group have generated over 375 million play sessions spread across some of the toy manufacturer’s most popular product lines including City, Ninjago, Star Wars™ and BIONICLE.

Mike Hawkyard from 4T2 adds, “This expansion of our partnership with The LEGO Group allows 4T2 via Amuzo Games to develop the game beyond its original scope. Players can still play the game for free and can also extend their adventure by purchasing upgrades, if they want to.”
