Tilted Mill Goes Live with Free Online Browser game, Immortal Cities: Nile Online
March 4, 2009 – Tilted Mill Entertainment - independent developers of strategy, simulation and role-playing games - today announced that Immortal Cities: Nile Online has now gone live after a four month beta in which many thousands of players participated.

Nile Online is a free to play browser game that features an ancient Egyptian setting where you begin by building a single city, harvesting local resources and turning them into goods and structures for your society so you can conduct trade with your neighbors, near and far, along the Nile. Eventually you will expand your empire to encompass several cities, offer goods to the gods, raise armies, and set up labor camps to build prestigious monuments to become Pharaoh. Once you’ve achieved the rank of Pharaoh, you can opt to construct your tomb and achieve Immortality! With an inviting visual presentation, backed by decades of strategy game development expertise, Nile Online offers a compelling gaming experience that can be played anywhere.

“We are very proud of the innovations we have brought to this genre” said Chris Beatrice, president of Tilted Mill Entertainment. “With a consistent setting, the ability to win, and no un-earned advantages, we think of this as a social Strategy game that happens to be played in a browser.”

“The beta for Nile Online has been very successful - a really great community formed around the game and helped contribute to what it is today. The game has proven to be an addictive, yet casual game, as many of our early testers are still playing it to this day!” said web developer and designer Jeremiah Freyholtz. “We look forward to continuing to grow and evolve Nile Online.”
