Tremblay also announced the appointment of Nicolas Rioux as vice president and general manager of the Quebec City Studio. â€œNicolas is an experienced video game development manager, known for his vision and leadership. Iâ€™m confident that heâ€™ll quickly make our Quebec City studio an international leader, able to take on the most ambitious projects.â€

Ubisoft was established in Montreal in 1997 and employs 1100 developers there. Ubisoft announced on February 1, 2005 its intention to invest 700 M$ CAD over five years and create 1000 new jobs in Quebec by 2010, bringing its total number of employees to 2000 in the province.
