Hit Strategy Game Features Over 200 Playable Nations
September 17 2010 Virtual Programming is proud to announce the release of Paradox Interactive's hit strategy game Victoria II for Mac OS X. Victoria II takes players to the year 1836, where they can choose from over 200 nations to guide through the start of World War II. Unlike in many other strategy games, the domestic front holds greater importance than simply conquering neighbors, with a focus on economic development as the world enters the industrial era.

"Victoria II offers an exquisite historical simulation, from the colonization era through the upheaval of World War I and the complex situation the planet faced at the cusp of World War II," said Virtual Programming CEO Mark Hinton. "It's not easy to nail down that part of world history, and our friends at Paradox Interactive got it just right."

"We put a lot of effort into capturing the rich intricacies of a country's development, including socio-political changes, market systems, the interplay of various population groups, and more," said Paradox Interactive's Fredrik Wester. "Victoria II may be the most complex domestic strategy game ever developed."
