SANTA CLARA, Calif.—December 10, 2013 - The playoffs of the NVIDIA® GeForce® eSports World of Tanks Veteran’s Day 1-Million Gold Charity Division, a North American 3-tank Amateur tournament, culminated in late November with a 1 million in-game gold prize pool and a $10,000 donation by NVIDIA and Wargaming.net to AMVETS National Service Foundation.
With over 280 teams and over 800 players, the competition was fierce as 3-player teams participated in a Tier 4 competition with 1 million in Wargaming gold at stake amongst the top 128 placing teams. Gameplay began in early October with a seven round group play stage and finished with a thrilling 16 team single-elimination playoff bracket in late November. “River of Blood” took first place honors along with 300,000 in Wargaming gold following an intense best-of-three series against “Whatever” with “River of Blood” championing two games to one.
