P.U.R.E. Release 1.2 is Now Available!

Indianapolis, Indiana - June 24, 2009- Wolfe Games is proud to announce version 1.2 of their groundbreaking Open Source title, P.U.R.E. (Purify, Unify, Reclaim, Exterminate). A new version of the game is available for paying customers, and a brand-new Demo, chock-full of new content and features, is now available.
Highlights of this release include:
1. The Skirmish System. Players can now play random survival games versus all three sides, for endless single-player fun!
2. New shader-based weather effects and new special effects add even more visual interest to the game.
3. A complete campaign series has been released for the Overmind faction.
4. New maps, for single-player and multiplayer.
5. Numerous bug-fixes and improvements over the previous releases.
6. Changes to multiplayer balance for a few units, such as the Resistance Bike Tank.
We are glad to continue in our tradition of "release early, release often" with this new version of the game. We think that players of the previous versions will really enjoy this!
But that's not the only news:
1. We're now making a Linux compatible build of the game available.
2. We will be hosting downloads of the game directly from www.wolfegames.com
3. We are selling the game directly to the public, and can thus lower our price- only $20 for Windows versions, and $15 for Linux do-it-yourself types!
4. World Builder, our level editor and content collection, is also at a new version, and features a lot of new content, available for free under the GPL!
5. Don't forget- we're a GPL game. Anybody can download and use our source code!
