WonderPhone Announces Empire Earth® - A Made-For-Mobile Version of the Best Selling PC Strategy Game from Vivendi Universal Games

Paris - October 18th, 2005 - WonderPhone today announces the release of its latest java game – Empire Earth® – a made-for-mobile version of the best selling PC strategy game from Vivendi Universal Games.
Following the release of Larry’s Sexy Pinball and SWAT Force, Empire Earth is the seventh Vivendi Universal Games mobile game to be distributed by WonderPhone. Based on the award-winning gameplay of the two original PC titles, Empire Earth for mobile will allow players to command the past, present and future, while building a civilization across four ages. To succeed, players must balance resource management and conquest across 10 campaign levels.

With over 2m units of the PC game sold, Empire Earth is one of the most popular strategy games ever for PC. Empire Earth for the PC recently released to critical acclaim. The mobile version of the game captures the essence of the strategic elements of the original game.
Game Features:
10 campaign levels with large variety of objectives: capture main enemy building, escort missions, defending a base, etc.
Real combat system (five combat criteria for 13 different units) combined with a strategic resource management system (four different resources: wood, iron, petroleum and plutonium) to create a rich and unique gameplay experience
Four ages to conquer: Stone, Middle, Modern and Nano spanning more than 2,000 years of human civilisation
Turn-based gameplay mechanism allows the player to choose one of six possible moves via an intuitive graphical interface that allows for ‘one button’ gameplay
New gameplay features with each new age: units change appearance, new resources become available, new military units become available, etc.
Engage in famous historic battles (e.g. French vs. English during the Middle Ages)
Three game modes: Campaign (solo), Skirmish (custom solo), and multi-player (1 vs. 1 on same handset)
Three difficulty levels and a full tutorial for easy accessibility
In addition to Empire Earth, WonderPhone will release two additional mobile games in 2005 both of which are based on major Vivendi Universal Games franchises.

The first Vivendi Universal Game licence released in the context of the alliance with WonderPhone was Crash Nitro Kartâ„¢ in May 2004. This outstanding racing game has already achieved sales of over 750,000 downloads and top charting positions in seven territories. Spyroâ„¢: Ripto Quest, an innovative adventure game, was released in September 2004.
Following Spyro, Leisure Suit Larryâ„¢: Magna Cum Laude was released in November. Combining an innovative mix of rhythm based gameplay and sassy mini-games Larry went on to encounter record sales performances in several territories including being a historic best seller in the Nordic region and a number 1 chart topper in Spain and Germany.
Crash™ Twinsanity was released in November 2004 simultaneously with the Vivendi game of the same name. This first in genre platform game was chosen by Vodafone Global to be one of its ‘hero games’ for the end of 2004, and a specific 3D version of the game was developed to accompany the operator’s commercial 3G launch. Crash Twinsanity went on to become a best selling game in many territories, even setting a historic download record for a month in France.
In the summer of 2005, Larry’s Sexy Pinball and SWAT Force were released. SWAT Force went straight to a number 1 position in France – the first market where the product was distributed.
