Blizzard has released several new gameplay movies and screenshots from Diablo III, showcasing the third installment in the popular Diablo franchise, in development for Windows and Macintosh. Diablo III will pick up the story twenty years after the events of Diablo II. Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal have been defeated, but the Worldstone, which once shielded the inhabitants of the world of Sanctuary from the forces of both Heaven and Hell, has been destroyed, and evil once again stirs in Tristram. Playing as a hero from one of five distinct character classes, players will acquire powerful items, spells, and abilities as they explore new and familiar areas of Sanctuary and battle hordes of demons to safeguard the world from the horrors that have arisen.
We have two new Starcraft 2 gameplay movies, showcasing the upcoming sequel to one of the most popular RTS games ever released. StarCraft II will feature the return of the Protoss, Terran, and Zerg races, overhauled and re-imagined with Blizzard's signature approach to game balance. Each race will be further distinguished from the others, with several new units and new gameplay mechanics, as well as new abilities for some of the classic StarCraft units that will be making a reappearance in the game. StarCraft II will also feature a custom 3D-graphics engine with realistic physics and the ability to render several large, highly detailed units and massive armies on-screen simultaneously. StarCraft II will include a unique single-player campaign, as well as fast-paced online play through an upgraded version of Blizzard's Battle.net. Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Far Cry 2, showcasing the first person shooter sequel developed by Ubisoft's Montreal studio and scheduled to ship in North America on October 21 and in Europe on October 24, for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. You are a gun for hire, trapped in a war-torn African state, stricken with malaria and forced to make deals with corrupt warlords on both sides of the conflict in order to make this country your home. You must identify and exploit your enemies' weaknesses, neutralizing their superior numbers and firepower with surprise, subversion, cunning and of course brute force.

Konami Digital Entertainment released several new screenshots and a trailer from PES 2009, this time showcasing the Wii version scheduled for Spring 2009. The Wii version will retain the intuitive 'point and click' interface used to control both the player in possession of the ball and to send those around him on to runs into space. Atari has released a new trailer from Alone in the Dark: Inferno, showcasing the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark, developed by Hydravision and Eden. Alone in the Dark follows a story where over the course of one apocalyptic night, hero Edward Carnby must uncover the earth-shattering secret hidden in New York's iconic Central Park. Square Enix released a new trailer for The Last Remnant, showcasing this action game powered by Unreal Engine 3 and due to be available on November 20, for PS3 and Xbox 360. In The Last Remnant, a vast, war-torn battlefield is scarred by years of conflict. Countless enemies surround the player, who is backed up by his own army. Threatened by numerous foes and saved in the nick of time by allies, players will feel the true tension of a soldier on the battlefield.
