Ballerium is innovative both within the field of online gaming and that of RTS games, either by adding original content or by redefining the genre rules.
Unlike existing online games, Ballerium takes the word "strategy" at face value.
True, in many ways it embraces the industry standard that strategy games should include many tactical "ingredients" such as conducting a battle in real time.
But Ballerium also includes strategy "ingredients" that make the game unique. Possibilities and concepts such as managing the army through commanders, squadron composition planning, and long-term affecting target selection, are among the possibilities that Ballerium offers as a strategy game
