THE PURPOSE OF ULTIMATE
The 'ultimate' purpose of this modification was to make the gamestyle of Doom3 a bit more massive and multiplayer like than the slower original. The Ultimate mod features an 'intelligent' respawning system that throws players in a frenzy of action and surprises.
Many of the new features are woven 'in' to the game, try reading those PDA's again to see if you can't find some new information in some of them.
FEATURES OF ULTIMATE
In order to defeat the forces of hell you will get some nifty new items that can help you. Such as:
TIME DILATION DEVICE
Placed directly into the brain, this implant allows you to perceive time more quickly, slowing your enemies down before your eyes. By injecting a powerfull adrenaline solution directly into your brain, your reflexes become quicker and your speed increases.
Worn on the belt, this small device places a temporary forcefield around you. It stops any projectile, but does not protect from explosions or splash damage. Strong against projectiles, weak against direct attacks. Stay on your guard.

DUAL BARREL PLASMAGUN
Prototype plasmagun with two barrels. Originally developed by Theresa Chasar to quickly depleat plasma from cannisters for testing. Handy, powerfull, quick, hungry for ammo.
MARS UAC MILITARY ISSUE RAIL GUN (MUMI RG)
Prohibited by the UAC, Bertruger outfitted some of his elite commando's with these weapons. Perhaps you can take one of them off their hands? That is, if it doesn't rip you to shreds first...
The mumi releases a condensed beam of plasma at extreme heat. Originally developed as a welding tool by the UAC the private military branch of the UAC quickly developed the mumi based on the original designs. Optimally penetrates through biologic matter but not through steel. This allows for great precision and decreases the chance of inadvertantly hitting teammembers.
Manipulates molecules in a range of 3 feet, then propells it forward. Heat has a lifetime of about 5 seconds. Perhaps you can find uses for it? (There's more than you think).
