Spellborn International today announced that The Chronicles of Spellborn EU Beta will start tomorrow, November 22nd and will end on Monday, November 24th. We'd like to agree with them, if only the whole EU would have been accepted. It seems though that only residents of certain countries can apply. Check the press release to see if you're in or not. The Open Beta test will start Saturday at 12pm CET and end on Monday at 10pm CET.

Kalypso Media and Stardock Corporation announced that Stardock’s Impulse digital distribution platform now contains the entire back catalogue of Kalypso titles and will feature all future titles as well. Frogster Interactive has unveiled additional information about the seventh game world area from Runes of Magic, a free-to-play MMO with over 600 quests embedded in an atmospheric world, six main classes, unique skills, impressive combo attacks and mounts in the later stages of the game. Players can choose from six main classes when starting into a new online career. According to individual preferences, they can select to play a warrior, ranger, cleric, knight, mage or a rogue. When a character reaches level 10, the player can select a secondary class, which augments the possible class combinations up to 30 individual combination types. We have a few new screenshots and artwork from X-Blades, showcasing this third-person hack-and-slash action title known in Russia as Oniblade. In X-Blades, players assume the role of Ayumi, a stunningly seductive yet tenacious heroine who battles enemies with her pistol blades, acrobatic ability, and magic spells. With full anime cut scenes, the story unfolds revealing demonic powers and spectacular landscapes, all ripe for exploration and battles. The game servers are already open and the testing phase will last about one month after which the characters will not be deleted. TikGames and Creat Studios announced a partnership for the development of three downloadable titles, scheduled to be available via PlayStation Network this winter. The line-up includes Magic Ball, Mahjong Tales: Ancient Wisdom and Cuboid. Magic Ball is developed under license from Alawar Entertainment and features 3D graphics along with 40 levels and both local and online multiplayer modes. Mahjong Tales: Ancient Wisdom is the first mahjong game available via PSN featuring lots of gameplay modes and hand-illustrated ancient Chinese tales. Last, but not least, Cuboid is a 3D puzzle game in which players navigate ancient ruins and lush environments, maneuvering a mysteriously marked cube through holes to reveal hidden treasures. Codemasters has released two new trailers and eleven more screenshots from Rise of the Argonauts, an action RPG for major consoles and PC, in development at Liquid Entertainment and due to ship in early 2009, for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Rise of the Argonauts is set in ancient Greece with players leading a team of warriors - including Jason, Hercules and Atalanta - through a world ruled by mythological gods. Each of the gods - Ares, Apollo, Hermes and Athena - has his or her own skill tree that gives the player a flexible and dynamic system for acquiring skills and improving their character. Players will also be able to align themselves with a god by choosing the dialogue that best fits the god's unique disposition.
