Use the version of the patch that matches the version of the Disk you have. This patch is only to be used with retail disk based versions of the game and not if you've purchased the game digitally via Steam, Direct2Drive, Metaboli etc.
This patch contains various refinements, tweaks and optimisations made during the time in which the game was passing through the submission process with Microsoft prior to its release.
