You might think a tutorial video about rules and regulations would be dry and boring, but that's not 2K Sports' style. This video features humor, name-calling, and putdowns of professional MLB athletes to boost your confidence in competing for a million dollars. Hosted by Ryan Spilborghs of the Cleveland Indians, the video presents a guide to help you better understand the Perfect Game Challenge and the exciting changes to this year's competition.
This year's contest, which returns for the third consecutive year and begins on Major League Baseball's Opening Day, April 4, 2012, elevates the competition by staging a live, eight-person single elimination tournament to determine who walks away with the $1 million grand prize. The finalists will be determined by a dynamic leaderboard ranking the top perfect games thrown. Gamers can repeatedly attempt to improve their position on the leaderboard through April 30, 2012. The eight finalists will then be flown to New York in early May to compete in a head-to-head elimination tournament for the grand prize.
