1.                                Introduction

===============================================================================


At the end of Space Quest II, Roger Wilco blasts off from Vohaul's asteroid in
a pod. In the pod was a sleep chamber, which Roger quickly stepped inside.
Space Quest III starts some time after Space Quest II, where Roger's pod has
been picked up by a humongous robot controlled garbage freighter. As the pod
lands hard on the debris in the junk freighter, the sleep chamber opens, which
awakens Roger from his deep sleep.

2.                                Walkthrough

JUNK FREIGHTER

The game starts in the junk bay. Walk south and east. Stand near the bucket
conveyer to be taken up. STAND and then JUMP. Walk west three times. GET IN the
GRABBER. Move the grabber above the middle chute. GET OUT OF the GRABBER. Slide
down the chute. Walk over to the west wall and GET the REACTOR. Walk over to
the ladder and CLIMB the LADDER. Walk north and east twice (a rat will fall
down from the ceiling and steal the reactor). Walk west twice, south and east.
Ride up in the bucket conveyer again. STAND and JUMP. Walk west three times.
GET IN the GRABBER. Move west in the grabber to the next area. Move half-way
across the screen and PUSH the BUTTON. A claw will descend from the grabber to
pick up the green object below. If it misses the object, adjust the position
of the grabber slightly and try again until it picks up the object.

Move west three times and follow the rail around the edge of the big machine.
Stop the grabber as soon as you get around the corner. PUSH the BUTTON and the
claw will drop the object into the ship. Move west four times. GET OUT OF the
GRABBER and slide down the middle chute. Walk over to the west wall and GET
the REACTOR. Walk over to the ladder and CLIMB up the LADDER. GET the LADDER.
Walk north and east three times. Walk to the robot head and CLIMB INTO the
HEAD. Walk around to the other side of the big ship and PUT the LADDER DOWN.
CLIMB up the LADDER. OPEN the HATCH. PUT the REACTOR IN the HOLE. PUT the
WIRES IN the HOLE. SIT in the chair. SEARCH the SEAT. LOOK at the COMPUTER
and enter 2, 1, 1, 2 and 5 to see the Arnoid. Enter 3 to travel to Phleebut.


PHLEEBUT

STAND up from the chair and GET OUT of the ship. Walk north, east, north and
east. Enter World o' Wonders. SELL the GEM and keep answering NO until the
alien offers 425 buckazoids. Say YES when he offers it for this amount. BUY the
HAT. BUY the ORAT. BUY the UNDERWEAR. BUY the HAT. LEAVE the shop and the
Arnoid will appear. He gives Roger a few seconds to run away. SAVE the game.
Walk west, south, west, south and west to the hanging pods. If the Arnoid is
following, walk behind the rock and the Arnoid will be captured by the pods. If
he isn't following, walk east to the ship and wait around here until he shows
up. When he does, quickly walk west to get him caught in the pods. Walk close
to the left side of the pods and USE the ORAT to get the Arnoid's belt. Walk
east and enter the ship. SIT and LOOK at the COMPUTER. Enter 1 and 3. LOOK at
the COMPUTER again and enter 2, 1, 1, 2 and 5 to travel to the Monolith Burger.


MONOLITH BURGER

Enter Monolith Burger and walk west. Walk up to the clerk and LOOK at the MENU.
Enter 7 and Q. PAY the BILL. Walk east and go to the empty seat. SIT in the
seat. EAT the FOOD and then STAND. Walk west and go to the arcade machine. PLAY
the MACHINE. PUT the MONEY IN the MACHINE and complete Astro Chicken. DECODE
the MESSAGE. Walk east and enter the airlock. ENTER the SHIP. LOOK at the
COMPUTER and enter 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 5 and 3 to travel to Ortega.


ORTEGA

STAND up and then WEAR the UNDERWEAR. GET OUT of the ship. Walk south, west and
south. Walk behind the boulder and wait for the men to leave. LOOK IN the
TELESCOPE. GET the DETONATOR. GET the POLE. Walk east twice and north. Walk
around the rocks to the north and go down the hidden path. Go down the stairs
and walk east. CLIMB up the LADDER. Walk near the hole and THROW the DETONATOR
into it. CLIMB DOWN the LADDER. Walk west, south three times, west twice and
north. USE the POLE to cross the gap. Walk east and north. Enter the ship. SIT
in the chair and LOOK at the COMPUTER. Enter 1 and 3. LOOK at the COMPUTER
again. Enter 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 5 and 3 to travel to Pestulon.


PESTULON

STAND up and GET OUT of the ship. Walk south. WEAR the BELT. PUSH the BUTTON.
ENTER the DOOR. Walk down the stairs and PUSH the BUTTON. Walk north and enter
the first door on the left. GET the COVERALLS. Exit the door. Walk south and
enter the first door on the right. Walk up to a bin and USE the VAPORIZER. Do
this for all of the bins that you come to. Walk down the first passage on the
left and GET the PICTURE. Walk to the photocopier and COPY the PICTURE. Walk
over to the wall where you got the picture and HANG the PICTURE ON the WALL.
Walk east and go to the exit at the top-right corner of the room. Walk north to
see Elmo behind the desk in his office. Walk behind the office and go east.

Walk back to the west and Elmo will be gone. Enter his office and GET the
KEYCARD. Walk south twice to the hall. Walk north and try to enter the first
door on the right. PUT the KEYCARD IN the SLOT. HOLD the COPY of the picture.
Go through the door and push the button. Walk over to the guys and USE the
VAPORIZER. Wait for a while and Elmo will demand a fight. Enter the robot and
defeat Elmo by punching and blocking his robot. Roger returns to the ship after
winning the battle. Wait until the enemy spaceships approach. LOOK at the
COMPUTER. Enter 6 and 8. Defend the ship by raising the shields and firing at
the targets. Defeat all of the ships. Enter O and F6 to complete the game.

BELT
  Dropped by the Arnoid after he gets caught by the pods on Phleebut. It is
  used on Pestulon to avoid the guards.


COVERALLS
  Found in the closet of the building on Pestulon. It is used to walk into the
  offices on Pestulon.


DETONATOR
  Found near the telescope on Ortega. It is thrown into the hole in the dome.


HAT
  Bought from the World o' wonders on Phleebut. It is not used.


KEYCARD
  Found in Elmo's office on Pestulon. It is used with the slot outside the room
  with the two guys from Andromeda.


LADDER
  Found in the room after sliding down the middle chute in the junk freighter.
  It is used to climb into the ship.


ORAT
  Bought from the World o' wonders on Phleebut. It is used on the pods.


PICTURE
  Found on the wall on Pestulon. It is used on the photocopier to create the
  picture copy.


PICTURE COPY
  Made by using the picture of Elmo on the photocopier. It is held up in front
  of the scanner to enter the room with the two guys from Andromeda.


POLE
  Found near the telescope on Ortega. It is used to vault across the gap on
  Ortega.


REACTOR
  Found on the west wall after sliding down the middle chute in the junk
  freighter. It is used on the hole inside the ship.


UNDERWEAR
  Bought from the World o' wonders on Phleebut. It is used to walk on Ortega.


VAPORIZER
  Found in the closet of the building on Pestulon. It is used on the full bins
  in the office. It is also used on the shields on the two guys from Andromeda.


WIRES
  Found in the tunnel in the junk freighter. They are used in the hole inside
  the ship.
