Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack Announced

Electronic Arts has announced the development of a Space stage expansion pack and Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack, add-ons that will grow and evolve Spore, the latest game developed by EA Maxis. For the first time, players' space faring creatures will be able to beam down from their spaceships to explore new planets and earn rewards for completing challenging missions. A new Adventure Creator will allow players to build and share online their own custom missions, providing almost endless gameplay possibilities. The Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack, available worldwide as soon as November 18, 2008, provides more than 100 new creature-building components themed in two distinct styles: charming, cartoon-esque creatures and scary, monster-like creatures. Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack includes body parts, paint options, animations, backgrounds and more.

Champions Online Closed Beta Sign-Ups Started

Cryptic Studios today announced that you can now sign up for a chance to participate in the first closed beta test for Champions Online. This PC specific beta begins in mid-November 2008 and you will have to visit their website in order to register. Based on the popular pen-and-paper Champions RPG, Champions Online will offer a near infinite amount of character customization so that all players will have a unique game experience. Gamers will be able to create their hero's name, back story, costume, powers and abilities as well as design their own personal arch-enemy and his or her back story.

OGPlanet Celebrates La Tale Halloween

OGPlanet today announced they are celebrating Halloween by challenging La Tale players to a game of bingo. Throughout October, players can create their Beast Bingo board by taking screenshots of their characters standing with 25 different monsters as they explore the world of La Tale. The 25 screenshots can then be arranged into a 5x5 grid, which players can use to compete in Beast Bingo games hosted in-game by La Tale game masters on Halloween night and the following day.

Dead Space Ships and Launch Trailer

Electronic Arts has announced that Dead Space, a third-person sci-fi survival horror game developed by EA Redwood Shores, has shipped to retail across Europe and North America, for PS3 and Xbox 360 - the PC version will be released on October 20. Dead Space follows Isaac Clarke, an ordinary man on a routine mission to fix the communications systems aboard a deep space mining ship. Isaac soon realizes that the ship's crew has been ravaged by an alien infestation, so he must fight through the dead silence and darkness of deep space to stay alive. A new trailer is now available.
