Introduction

Why hello there! Welcome to my guide to the first substantial piece of downloadable content (DLC) for Assassin's Creed: Syndicate - 'The Dreadful Crimes' pack. The latest title in Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed series is the most modern to date and takes place in jolly old England during the industrial revolution. In a first for the series, players can play as one of two main protagonists (yes I know Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Assassin's Creed III featured two playable assassin characters too, but that was only brief!), twins Evie and Jacob Frye as they seek to liberate the city of London from Templar influence using a combination of stealth, brawn and their very own gang - the Rooks.

Armed with Eagle Vision, a case log and the ability to interrogate persons of interest 'The Dreadful Crimes' pack has our heroes tasked with using their existing abilities in a different context - solving a number of dastardly and increasingly complex and difficult crimes throughout the city.

This guide aims to help you play through this DLC from start to finish, collecting all of the clues and speaking with all available suspects.

The Dreadful Crimes (DLC) Walkthrough

The Dreadful Crimes DLC pack is free and exclusive for owners of the Playstation 4 version of Assassin's Creed Syndicate. The DLC includes 10 short memories that have us using our Assassin abilities to good use by solving a series of crimes at various locations around London.

Once installed, the memories will appear on the map after completing Memory Sequence 03-02: Freedom of the Press.

The Dreadful Crimes DLC pack is free and exclusive for owners of the Playstation 4 version of Assassin's Creed Syndicate. Once the pack has been downloaded and installed, the memories will appear on the map after completing Memory Sequence 03-02: Freedom of the Press. Below you'll find walkthroughs for each of the ten crime-fighter memories. Here's a list of links for your convenience:

Part 1: Warehouse Investigation

This memory begins at the entry gate to a factory in Whitechapel. After speaking with the fellow at the gate, follow him into the factory area and speak with the fellow indicated – Mr. Frooms. During this conversation you'll want to ask him both conversation options (Body, Workers).

After the conversation, our objectives will update and we'll be required to find and investigate the body. It can be found in the very center of the purple investigation zone on the mini-map hidden behind some large storage barrels. Use Eagle Vision to make locating it easier! Once you have examined the body, we'll be able to continue our investigation.

At this point we'll unlock a pair of new suspects to talk to and can examine a pair of clues located around the body. Activate Eagle Vision to have them appear highlighted in gold to make things easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Warehouse Letter – Located on the wall between the two new suspects.
Warehouse Knife – Can be found on the body by the base of one of the large storage barrels.
We should now go and interrogate the two new suspects. Speak to both of them and elicit each response they have available. Ask Buck all three options (Body, Dooley, Knife) and ask both options available for Dooley (Body, Buck).

At this point we'll need to make an accusation to continue with the investigation. You'll want to point the finger at Dooley. To do so speak with Dooley and hit the Square button to accuse him of the murder. This will trigger a brief scene.

A couple of new clues will now be located in the area. Again, pop on Eagle Vision to have them appear highlighted in gold. You'll want to inspect the following:

Warehouse Footprint (Large) – located on the ground between the body and the knife.
Warehouse Footprint (Medium) – Located on the ground by the body in between a pair of the large storage barrels.
Upon inspecting the Footprint (Medium) you'll find a set of footprints leading away from the crime scene. With Eagle Vision on, follow these footprints all the way to their destination to find another suspect – Taylor.

Speak with Taylor and again exhaust all the available conversation options (Footprints, Bandana). He'll give you a bit more information whilst also pointing out the Brewery Entrance location nearby which we'll now be able to investigate.

Part 2: Brewery Entrance Investigation

Head over to the Brewery Entrance nearby, bang on your Eagle Vision once again and examine the area in front of the building. In addition to a new suspect, Morris, who we'll chat with in a minute, there are also a couple of additional clues to be found including:

Brewery Cigarettes – On the ground by the right hand wall leading to the entrance.
Brewery Footprint (Large) – Located on the ground between the cigarette and the new suspect.
After examining both of the above clues. Speak with the new suspect, Morris nearby and chat with him using the available options (Bandana, Cigarette). Following this conversation, you'll want to head back and speak to some of our previous suspects to ask additional questions. We need to talk with Mr. Frooms (ask about: Wilkins, Bandana) and Taylor (ask about: Cigarette).

Part 3: Loading Area Investigation

Once you have spoken to both, a new area will open up to investigate – the Loading Area. Move over to this location and speak with the new suspect here, Coulton. During the conversation use all available options (Wilkins, cigarette) before leaving.

Switch on your eagle Vision once again. In addition to Coulton, there is also another single clue to investigate nearby:

Loading Area Cigarettes – On the ground by the wall opposite Coulton.
After inspecting the final clue, move up and speak with Coulton again. Speak with him about the Cigarettes one more time. Suspicious, huh? You guessed it, accuse him of the murder to complete the case.

Note: Completing this case will also unlock new Dreadful crimes cases including: Memory 02: Death Stalks the Colonel and Memory 03: The Case of the Conflicted Courtship.

Memory 02: Death Stalks the Colonel

Part 1: Munitions Factory Investigation

This memory begins on a street corner in the southwest corner of the Southwark borough. After speaking with the fellow here to initiate the memory, make your way over to the Munitions Factory marker nearby. In the search area here you'll find the body. Inspect it.

This will populate the nearby area with an additional six clues for us to find. Activate Eagle Vision to have them appear highlighted in gold to make things easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Dynamite Crates – Just outside of the walled section of the search area closest to the body.
Blood Stain – On the ground by the corpse.
Banner – Also on the ground by the corpse.
Feather – By the fountain in the center of the search area.
Clock – Propped up against the right hand wall of the search area.
Bullet Hole – Located in the bench next to the Clock in the search area.
Speak with the two persons of interest nearby and utilize all of the available conversation options. Abberline can be found by the body (we'll want to ask him about: Shooting, Clock and then Suspect). Jonas can be found within the search area near the fountain (ask him about: Prescott, Shooting, Clock and then Banner).

Upon speaking to both men and finding all of the clues a new search location will open up nearby – The Courtyard. The adjacent Shop is also a search area, so we'll do both at once! Mosey on over there to continue the investigation.

Part 2: Courtyard/shop Investigation

The Courtyard/Shop search area has another pair of suspects, Earl and Curtis, whom we can speak with and also features another six clues which we'll need to discover. Again, activate Eagle Vision to make this task easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Beer – This appears as a puddle on the street in front of the glowing gate.
Bullet Hole – Inspect the glowing gate from the street side.
Target – Found on the inside of glowing gate with the bullet hole.
Mark – Found on the ground by the Target in the alleyway leading to the courtyard.
Impact – On the ground by the building opposite Earl's position.
Whitworth Rifle – Can be found on the floor of the attic of the shop (you'll need to climb up to the uppermost open windows of the building to get inside).
Speak with the two suspects nearby and we'll want to, as per usual, exhaust all possible conversation options. Curtis can be found inside the ground floor of the shop (we'll want to ask him about: Prescott and then Military, Attic then Whitworth and then Shooting). Earl can be found within the Courtyard search area by the end of the alleyway leading to the glowing gate (ask him about: Shooting, Gun).

Return to the street and whip out your Eagle Vision and you'll find a trail of spilled beer leading away from the crime scene. Follow this all the way to the end to find another search area – the Barrel Depot.

Part 3: Barrel Depot Investigation

The Barrel Depot investigation includes yet another pair of suspects, Bennet and Samuel, whom we will deal with later. For now, let's focus on finding the four clues which have been hidden around the area. As per usual, activate Eagle Vision to identify them much quicker. You'll want to inspect the following:

Empty Barrel – Next to the railing behind Bennet.
Backpack – Located on the ground at the top of a set of stairs.
Goose – Can be found at the base of the stairs.
Medicine – This is on top of a barrel against the wall of the main building opposite the entry gate.
After acquiring all four clues, move over to speak with Bennet by the entrance to the area (we'll want to talk about: Prescott, Beer and then Samuel). This will have Samuel appear as a suspect nearby. As such, head on over and have a chat with him (Interrogate him on: Prescott, Beer, Disease).

At this point you'll have all the clues at your disposal and will be able to choose and accuse one of the persons of interest. The answer is Samuel at the Barrel Depot.

Once you have accused correctly, the memory will be complete.

Part 1: Park Investigation

This memory begins on the sidewalk of a narrow roadway in the northeastern portion of the City of London borough. After speaking with the fellow here to initiate the memory, make your way over to the Park investigation marker nearby. In the search area you'll find the body. Inspect it.

Checking out the body will result in three additional clues appearing in the Park for us to find. Activate Eagle Vision to have them appear highlighted in gold to make things easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Handbag – Located on the ground by the tree directly behind the body.
Packet – Is found on the ground right next to the corpse.
Knife – Near one of the entrances to the Park. With Eagle Vision on, follow the trail of bloodstains from the body to reach it.
Finding all four of the clues (body included) in the Park investigative zone will give us two additional search areas to examine – Dr. Alton's office and Gilbert's House. Both of these are located a block or two over to the east of the Park. Let's make our way to the northern marker – Dr. Alton's Office first.

Part 2: Dr. Alton's Office Investigation

Dr. Alton's Office search area has our first group of suspects, Dr. Alton, Clare and Mr. Shelby, whom we can speak with (although we'll do that after finding the clues of course) and also features another five clues which we'll need to discover. Again, activate Eagle Vision to make this task easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Doctor's Note – Located on the reception desk on the lower level of the building.
Mr. Shelby's Medical File – This is found on a desk in the office on the second floor.
Prudence's Medical File – This is also found on a desk in the office on the second floor.
Personal Note – Located on a desk on the top floor of the building in the room with the bed.
Baxter's Medical File – Also found on a desk on the top floor of the building in the room with the bed.
Speak with the suspects nearby and exhaust all possible conversation options. Dr. Alton can be found on the top floor of the office building (we'll want to ask him about: Prudence, Medicine, Treatment). Clare can be found by the reception desk on the ground floor (ask her about: Baxter, Park Meeting, Prudence and then Alton's Cut). Mr. Shelby is by the base of the stairs on the ground level of the doctor's office (speak to him about: Prudence, Treatment).

At this point, there is nothing left to do at Dr. Alton's Office or the Park, so make your way over to the other investigation area – Gilbert's House.

Part 3: Gilbert's House Investigation

There is a single clue to find at Gilbert's House as well as another suspect to interrogate - Gilbert. Activate the Eagle Vision ability to locate the clue. Inspect the following:

Letter from Prudence – This is found on a desk on the second floor.
With the clue in hand, return to the ground floor and speak with Gilbert (we'll want to ask him about: Prudence, Dr. Alton). Following the conversation, you'll unlock another nearby search area – Prudence's House. Head over to the new marker and when you arrive, you'll have to enter the search area via a top floor window.

Part 4: Prudence's House Investigation

The Prudence's House search area has another suspect to speak with, Lulu once we've done investigating and another two clues to locate. Switch on your Eagle Vision to find the clues faster. You'll want to inspect the following:

Unsent letter to Dr. Alton – On a small corner stand.
Prudence's Diary – on a chest of drawers by one of the windows.
After finding all the clues, a marker for Lulu will appear. She is located down on the street outside of the apartment building. Once you have found her, walk up and begin your interrogation (you'll want to talk about: Prudence, Baxter). Following the conversation, you'll unlock another nearby search area – Baxter's House. Head over to the new marker and when you arrive, you'll have to enter the search area via a second floor window.

Part 5: Baxter's House Investigation

Baxter's House has a plethora of clues to find – seven in total. Again, we'll want to activate Eagle Vision to make the task of tracking them all down much easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Scattered Papers – On the floor just inside the eastern window.
Scattered Papers – On the floor by the bookshelf to the right of the desk.
Scattered Papers – On the floor in front of the desk.
Scattered Papers – On the desk.
Scattered Papers – On the floor by the bookshelf to the left of the desk.
Paper Packets – On the floor just inside the western window.
Knifes - On a small side-table just inside the western window.
Now that we have all the clues in the case all wrapped up, it's time to re-speak with a few of our suspects for a little additional information. We can speak with Claire (ask about: Medicine) and Dr. Alton (ask about: Cut Cheek) at Dr. Alton's Office.

At this point you'll have all the clues at your disposal and will be able to choose and accuse one of the persons of interest. The answer is Dr. Alton at Dr. Alton's Office.

Once you have accused correctly, the memory will be complete.

Note: Completing this case will also unlock new Dreadful Crimes cases including: Memory 04: The Mystery of the Twice-Dead Professor!, Memory 05: The Fiend of Fleet Street and Memory 06: Locked in… To Die!.

After speaking with the fellow here to initiate the memory, make your way over to the Byng's Home investigation marker nearby. In the search area you'll find the body at the base of the stairs. Inspect it.

Looking over the corpse will result in two suspects, Emmet and Angela, and six additional clues appearing in the search area for us to discover. Activate Eagle Vision to have them appear highlighted in gold to make things easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Personal Letter – On a small drawer sitting in an alcove beneath the stairs on the ground floor.

Angela is by the base of the stairs on the ground level of the search area (speak to her about: Crate, Byng and then Spider and Last Words).

Finding all seven of the clues and interrogating both persons of interest at Byng's Home will give us two additional search areas to examine – the University and Cemetery. Both of these are located to the south of the initial search location. Let's make our way to closest one first – the University.

Part 2: University Investigation

The University investigation zone includes a group of three suspects, Professor Silas, Dr. Wilson and Virginia, whom we can speak with (although we'll do that after finding the clues of course) and also features another eight clues which we'll need to discover. Dr. Wilson can be found on the second floor (inquire about: Byng, Empty Box, Spider). Virginia is by the base of the stairs on the ground level (speak to her about: Receipt, Byng and then Will).

At this point, there is nothing left to do at Byng's Home or the University, so make your way over to the other investigation area – the Cemetery.

Part 3: Cemetery Investigation

With the clues in hand, head over and speak with Beswick (we'll want to ask him about: Byng, Money, Grave Robbery and then Body-Snatching Proven). Following the conversation, return to the Byng Family Vault and whip out your Eagle Vision. You'll find a trail of muddy tracks leading away from the Cemetery. Follow this all the way to the end to find another search area – an Abandoned House.

Part 4: Abandoned House Investigation

The Abandoned House has six clues hidden within. Again, we'll want to activate Eagle Vision to make the task of tracking them all down much easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

At this point you'll have all the clues at your disposal and will be able to choose and accuse one of the persons of interest. The answer is Professor Silas at the University.

Once you have accused correctly, the memory will be complete.

Part 2: Flower Shop Investigation

The Flower Shop is the closest search zone from our current location so make your way over there. There is a pair of suspects here (Joanna and George) and three clues to track down. Activate your Eagle Vision and inspect the following:

With these clues in hand, return speak with Mrs. Moffat (we'll want to ask her about: Det. Murphy, Missing People, Meat). Following the conversation, you'll unlock another nearby search area – the Butcher Shop.

Head over to the Butcher Shop marker. There is a single suspect to interrogate here – John. Make tracks for the gentleman and speak with him (ask about: Det. Murphy, Meat, George). We won't get a whole lot out of him, so make your way over to the next search area – the Leather Shop.

Part 4: Leather Shop Investigation

As with the Bakery, there is another suspect here, Tobias, and another two clues to uncover before we have a chat with them. Return to Eagle Vision mode to find those clues. Inspect the following:

Finding all of the clues and completing this conversation will unlock two additional search areas to examine – Bloomfield's Room and Henman's Room. Both of these are located inside the same building so we won't have too far to travel.

Bloomfield's room is right next door to Cashan's Room, so let's investigate that first.

Part 2: Bloomfield's Room investigation

The Bloomfield's Room investigation zone includes a pair of suspects, Mr. and Mrs. Bloomfield, whom we can speak with (although we'll do that after finding the clues of course) and also features another six clues which we'll need to discover. Completing this investigation will unlock yet another investigation area – the Basement.

Exit the room and speak to Mrs. Henaman by Cashan's Room once again (ask about: Cashan again). This will unlock another search zone – Golden's Room.

Part 3: Golden's Room Investigation

Golden's Room can be found down the next flight of stairs and the search area here has another suspect, Mr. Golden whom we can speak with and also has another seven clues scattered about which we'll need to find. After acquiring all seven clues, move over to speak with Mr. Golden (we'll want to talk about: Cashan, Last Night, Box of Candles). With the interrogation out of the way, we'll need to move onto the next search area, the closest remaining is the Basement so make your way there.

Part 4: Basement Investigation

There are another three clues to find at the Basement and no new suspects, so it's just a matter of dialogue-free investigating. Activate the Eagle Vision ability to locate the clues. Inspect the following:

Gas Tank – Against the wall just to the right of the entryway.
Chemistry Equipment – The large table and lab setup to the left of the entrance.
Chemical – Examine the bottle on the table opposite the entrance.
Once you have found all three clues, head next door to enter the Henman's Room investigation zone.

After acquiring all of the items of interest walk up and begin your interrogation of Mr. Henman (you'll want to talk about: Cashan, Clothes, Screwdriver and then Gasline).

Now that we have all the clues in the case all wrapped up, it's time to re-speak with a few of our suspects for a little additional information. We can speak with Mr. Bloomfield (ask about: Chemical, Sheet Music, Cashan and then Bon Vivant).

At this point you'll have all the clues at your disposal and will be able to choose and accuse one of the persons of interest. The answer is Mr. Golden in Golden's Room.

Part 1: Street Investigation

This memory begins on the sidewalk outside of a factory in the southeastern portion of the City of London borough. After speaking with the fellow here to initiate the memory, head up the street to the east until you find the Street investigation area. In the search area beneath the crate you'll find the body. Inspect it.

Checking out the body will result in four additional clues appearing in the surrounding area for us to find. Activate Eagle Vision to have them appear highlighted in gold to make things easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Crate – The one lying on the corpse!
Ashton's Agenda – Located on the ground by the body.
Watch – Is found on the ground right next to the corpse.
Tracks – The set of footprints by the body.
Finding all five of the clues (body included) in the Street investigative zone will give us an additional search area – the Apple Stand. Before we head over there however, we should speak with Dr. Chester located near the body (inquire about: Ashton, Puncture, Pallor). This conversation will unlock a further three search locations – the Construction Site, Pub and Pharmacy.

As the Construction Site is right next to the body, lets head there first.

Part 2: Construction Site Investigation

The Construction Site investigation includes yet another pair of suspects, Frank and Eddie, whom we will deal with later. For now, let's focus on finding the two clues hidden around the area. As per usual, activate Eagle Vision to identify them much quicker. You'll want to inspect the following:

Handbill – At the top of the stairs leading from the Construction are to the street.
Crane – The Crane overlooking the street (and the body).
Speak with the two suspects nearby and we'll want to, as per usual, exhaust all possible conversation options. Communicate first with Frank (we'll want to ask him about: Ashton, 1:17, Crane) and then with Eddie (ask him about: Ashton, Crane, Crushed Arm).

Return to the body and whip out your Eagle Vision and you'll find a trail of footprints leading away from the crime scene. Follow this all the way to the end to the Apple Stand.

Part 3: Apple Stand Investigation

The Apple Stand search area is quite a small one. It contains a single clue and two persons of interest we can speak with – Mrs. Ashton and the Apple Seller. First up though, go and grab the clue – you'll want to inspect:

Apple – On the ground next to Mrs. Ashton.
With the clue in hand speak with the nearby suspects – the Apple Seller (ask about: Ashton, Frank) and then Mrs. Ashton (ask about: Ashton, Hair). After the conversations, continue to follow the footprints around the corner and up the street until you reach the next search area – the Pub.

Part 4: The Pub Investigation

The Pub's investigation zone includes another new suspects, Mr. Hendricks and also houses another two clues which we'll have to locate. As per usual, activate Eagle Vision to make this task easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Newspaper – Located on a table just to the left of the entrance.
Revolver – Found discarded in a bin by the piano on the left side of the room.
After picking up both items of interest walk up and begin your interrogation of Mr. Hendricks (you'll want to talk about: Ashton, Sabotage, Gun). After the conversation, exit the Pub and continue to follow the footprints around the corner and up the street until you reach the next search area – the Pharmacy.

Part 5: The Pharmacy Investigation

The pharmacy search area has our final pair of suspects, Mr. Reece and Mary, whom we can speak with (although we'll do that after finding the clues of course) and also features another three clues which we'll need to discover. Again, activate Eagle Vision to make this task easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Medicine Box – On the footpath outside the Pharmacy.
Pharmaceutical Cabinet – The cabinet just inside the pharmacy and to the left.
Letter – On a small desk in the back right corner from the entrance.
With all of those clues in hand, it's now time to speak with the nearby suspects. Talk with Mr. Reece first (we'll want to ask him about: Ashton, Mary, Letter) and then mosey on over and chat with Mary (inquire about: Ashton).

Now that we have all the clues in the case all wrapped up, it's time to re-speak with a few of our suspects for a little additional information. We can speak with the Apple Seller at the Apple Stand (ask about: Mary, Pallor) and Frank at the Construction site (ask about: Eddie).

At this point you'll have all the clues at your disposal and will be able to choose and accuse one of the persons of interest. The answer is Mrs. Ashton at the Apple Stand.

Once you have accused correctly, the memory will be complete.

Part 1: Psychic's House Investigation

This memory can be started begins on the sidewalk outside of a park near the train station in the southwest portion of the Westminster borough. After speaking with the fellow here to initiate the memory, head over to find the first investigation area – the Psychic's House. Enter and after a brief scene, on the ground floor of the house you'll find the body. Inspect it.

Checking out the body will result in five persons of interest to speak to (we'll do so after finding the evidences) and six additional clues appearing in the surrounding area for us to find. Activate Eagle Vision to have them appear highlighted in gold to make things easier. You'll want to find the clues first and inspect the following:

Timer and Flashpot – On the ground to the right of the body.
Client List – On the second floor on the desk near the top of the stairs.
Threatening Note – On the second floor, on the floor by a garbage bin.
Old Note – On the second floor. This can be found on the floor by the foot of the bed.
Receipt – On the second floor located beneath a small corner table to the left of the fireplace.
Legal Papers – On a desk by the windows in the far side of the bedroom from the stairway.
We'll now want to interrogate the suspects back on the ground floor and hear all of their conversation options. Douglas can be found by the base of the stairs (ask him about: Thaddeus, Seance), Lady Ursula is by the windows on the far side of the ground floor from the body (speak to her about: Sιance, Thaddeus and then Mittens), Howard is standing by Lady Ursula (ask about: Thaddeus, Legal paper), Dr. Wilburn is standing to the left of the body (inquire about: Thaddeus, Sιance) and Janice is standing to the right of the body (Ask her about: Sιance, Thaddeus and then Sister).

After speaking to all of the suspect and collecting all of the clues you'll notice that an additional three search areas have been added to the map – Robert's House, Asquith's House and Lady Ursula's House. The closest to our current location is Robert's House so head on over!

Part 2: Robert's House Investigation

The Robert's House investigation zone has a single person of interest to speak with after our investigation named Anne and a set of three clues to locate. Stick on your Eagle Vision and inspect the following:

Sydney Newspaper Clipping – On a corner desk on the ground floor.
Paper – On the second floor. Located on a small chest of drawers by the top of the stairs.
Note Added to Father's Will – On the second floor, on a desk in the bedroom.
Once you have inspected all three clues, return downstairs to Anne and speak with her (ask about: Howard Roberts, Sιance, Legal Paper). Following the conversation, head over to the next search area – Asquith's House.

Part 3: Asquith's House Investigation

The Asquith's House search area has another pair of suspects, Colonel Asquith and Everett, whom we can speak with and also features another four clues which we'll need to discover. Again, activate Eagle Vision to make this task easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Cigarette Butts – In the alleyway just to the left of the entrance to the house.
Coat – On the ground floor hung on a coat rack just inside the entry.
Business Letter – On the second floor on the ground by one of the bookcases.
Diary – On the top floor of the house beneath the bed.
Speak with the two suspects nearby and we'll want to, as per usual, exhaust all possible conversation options. Colonel Asquith can be found on the second floor (we'll want to ask him about: Sister, Thaddeus and then Engagement). Everett is located on the ground floor (ask him about: Thaddeus, Engagement, Business).

Head back outside to where you found the cigarette butts. Activate your Eagle Vision and you'll find a trail of tobacco smoke leading away from the crime scene. Follow this all the way to the end to find another search area – the Street Corner.

There is a single suspect to speak with here – Billy (ask him about: Tramp and then Who). After the chat, we'll unlock yet another search area just up the road to the north – The Office. Let's head there now.

Part 4: Office Investigation

The Office has a number of clues to find – four in total. Again, we'll want to activate Eagle Vision to make the task of tracking them all down much easier and head on up to the top floor – they are all up there! You'll want to inspect the following:

Business Cards – On the floor to the left just after entering the office.
Note – On the floor by the sofa along the right hand wall.
Client Files – On a semi-circular desk opposite the entry door.
Thaddeus' Note – On the floor by the bookshelf.
At this point, there is nothing left to do at the Office or any of the other unlocked search areas, so make your way over to the final investigation area – Lady Ursula's House.

Part 5: Lady Ursula's House Investigation

The Lady Ursula's House investigation zone has a single person of interest to speak with after our investigation named Miriam and a set of three clues to locate. Stick on your Eagle Vision and inspect the following:

Boston Newspaper Clipping – On the ground floor by the fireplace.
Letter – On the second floor beneath the bed.
Lady Ursula's Will – On the third floor on the desk by the bed.
Once you have inspected all three clues, return downstairs to Miriam and speak with her (ask about: Lady Ursula, Douglas, Mittens).

Now that we have all the clues in the case all wrapped up, it's time to re-speak with a few of our suspects for a little additional information. Return to the Psychic's House and speak with Lady Ursula (ask about: Scheme), Howard (inquire about: Scheme) Dr. Wilburn (ask about: Scheme), Janice (speak about: Scheme) and Douglas (ask about: Scheme).

At this point you'll have all the clues at your disposal and will be able to choose and accuse one of the persons of interest. The answer is Douglas at the Psychic's House.

Once you have accused correctly, the memory will be complete.

Part 1: Riverbank Investigation

This memory can be started on the side of the road close to a train bridge leading across the Thames in the central western section of the Lambeth borough. After speaking with the fellow here to initiate the memory, make your way down to the Riverbank marked with the purple search area nearby. In the middle of the search area you'll find the body. Inspect it.

Looking over the corpse will result in a suspect, a vagrant, and two additional clues appearing in the search area for us to discover. Activate Eagle Vision to have them appear highlighted in gold to make things easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Coat – Up the nearby hill by the fire beneath the rail bridge.
Pocket Watch – On the ledge of the rail bridge above overlooking the body.
After acquiring both clues, move over to speak with the vagrant in the centre of the search area (we'll want to talk about: Body, Midnight, Shelter and then Coat). Collecting all of the clues and speaking with the vagrant will unlock a new search area – the Victoria Train Station.

Part 2: Victoria Train Station Investigation

Upon arrival at Victoria Train Station, head over to the small search area. Here you'll find a single suspect that we'll need to chat with (ask about: Train 616). He'll inform you that Train 616 is leaving shortly.

This conversation will unlock four new search areas, all part of train 616 – Sleeper 2, Sleeper 1, Passenger Carriage and Restaurant Carriage. Run on over to the nearby platform and hop aboard Sleeper 2 to continue.

The Dreadful Crimes (DLC) Walkthrough (Continued)

Part 3: Train 616 Sleeper 2 Investigation

The Sleeper 2 investigation zone includes a new suspect, Vivian, whom we can speak with (although we'll do that after finding the clues of course) and also features another two clues which we'll need to discover. Again, activate Eagle Vision to make this task easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Note – On the floor to the left just inside the door at the front of the carriage.
Handbag – On the floor by the couch near the back of the carriage.
Once you have found both clues, approach Vivian and begin your interrogation (you'll want to talk about: Killian, Letter from Sister, Last Evening and then Note). Following the conversation, move up to the next search area in Sleeper 1.

Part 4: Train 616 Sleeper 1 Investigation

There is a pair of suspects in the Sleeper 1 inspection area (Joanna and George) and two clues to track down. Activate your Eagle Vision and inspect the following:

Derringer – On the floor beneath a couch near the front of the carriage.
Letter – On one of the couches near the front of the carriage.
Speak with the two suspects nearby and we'll want to, as per usual, exhaust all possible conversation options. Sam can be found at the back of the car closest to Sleeper 2 (we'll want to ask him about: Killian, Last Evening and then Midnight). Angus can be found near the front of the carriage (ask him about: Valet, Killian and then Vivian, Last Evening and then Midnight).

Following the conversation, move up to the next search area in the Passenger Carriage.

Part 5: Train 616 Passenger Carriage Investigation

The Passenger Carriage search area is quite a small one. It contains a single clue and another person of interest we can speak with – Luke. First up though, go and grab the clue – you'll want to inspect:

Shoe – Located outside and on top of the carriage itself.
With the clue in hand speak with the nearby suspect, Luke who can be found inside the carriage (ask about: Killian, Vivian, Last Evening and then Midnight). After the conversations, continue to follow the train into the next search area – the Restaurant Carriage.

Part 6: Train 616 Restaurant Carriage Investigation

The Restaurant Carriage investigation zone includes a pair of suspects, Ryan and Peter, whom we can speak with (although we'll do that after finding the clues of course) and also features another three clues which we'll need to discover. Again, activate Eagle Vision to make this task easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Sleeping Pills – In a bottle on a table just inside the door to the right at the back of the front dining car.
Newspaper – On a chair at one of the tables on the left side of the front dining car.
Pamphlets – On a chair at one of the tables on the right side of the front dining car.
With those new clues in hand, it's now time to speak with the nearby suspects. Ryan can be found on the second dining car (we'll want to ask him about: Last Evening and then Pills, Vivian and then Scheme) and then mosey on over and chat with Peter who is located in the front dining car (inquire about: Killian, Vivian, Last Evening and then Midnight).

Now that we have all the clues in the case all wrapped up, it's time to re-speak with a few of our suspects for a little additional information. We can speak with the Ryan in the Restaurant Carriage (ask about: Peter), Luke in the Passenger Carriage (inquire about: Peter), Angus in Sleeper 1 (ask about: Vivian) and Sam in sleeper 1 (talk about: Wolf).

At this point you'll have all the clues at your disposal and will be able to choose and accuse one of the persons of interest. The answer is Peter in the Restaurant Carriage.

Once you have accused correctly, the memory will be complete.

Part 1: Queen's Study Investigation

This memory begins by speaking with Abberline outside of the main gate to Buckingham palace in Westminster borough. After starting the memory, follow Abberline into the palace grounds and he'll eventually lead you to a small office area – the Queen's Study. In the search area here, propped up against a divider you'll find the body. Inspect it.

Checking out the body will result in five additional clues appearing in the Queen's Study for us to find. Activate Eagle Vision to have them appear highlighted in gold to make things easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Vault – Mounted on the wall to the left of the body.
Vase – On the ground next to the body.
Guest List – On the desk closest to the body.
Window – The shards of glass on the floor by one of the windows.
Letter from Scotland Yard – On a small table by the fireplace.
After investigating the Vault clue, the Queen will enter the room and ask you to leave, find the rest of the clues and then move back outside to reach the green objective marker. After a few moments, the Queen will re-open the door to her study and you'll be able to speak with her (ask about: Body, Vault, Event).

Following the conversation and clue finding shenaniganry a new investigation zone will be unlocked quite a distance away – Artie's Yard which is located to the north near the train station in The Strand borough. Exit the palace and grab a cart to make getting there a little less painful.

Part 2: Artie's Yard Investigation

The search area marked Artie's Yard has a new pair of suspects, Buck and Dooley, whom we can speak with (after nabbing the clues of course) and also features another two clues which we'll need to discover. Again, activate Eagle Vision to make this task easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Evidence Wall – The series of photographs on the wooden fence on the north side of the area.
Blank Paper – Mounted on the fence opposite the Evidence Wall clue.
Speak with the two suspects nearby and we'll want to, as per usual, exhaust all possible conversation options. Speak with Buck first (we'll want to ask him about: Artie, Evidence Wall) and then Dooley (ask him about: Artie, Henry Raymond, Evidence Wall and then Blank Paper). With that new hint in hand, head back to the Blank Paper clue and hit it with a smoke bomb. Inspect the clue again to get some updated information.

This will also unlock a new search area – Purlock Publishing which is located to the southwest (but thankfully still in The Strand this time!). head over there to continue your investigation.

Part 3: Purlock Publishing Investigation

The Purlock Publishing investigation zone has a number of clues to find – four in total. Again, we'll want to activate Eagle Vision to make the task of tracking them all down much easier. You'll want to inspect the following:

Dynamite Crates – On the second floor along the left hand wall (with your back to the stairs).
Map – On the third floor, mounted on the wall in the study room.
Galley Proof – On the fourth floor on the base of the bookshelf in the office.
Anti-royalist Pamphlets – On the fourth floor on the semi-circular table opposite the office entrance.
At this point, our objectives will update and we'll be required to return to Buckingham Palace. Again, you'll want to take a cart to cut down on your travel time.

Part 4: Buckingham Palace Rescue

As soon as you arrive at the palace, head over and speak with the guard who is indicated by the objective marker. As soon as you initiate a conversation a countdown timer will appear at the top of the screen – you'll have 1 minute to evacuate three groups of guests and locate the Queen.

Run straight into the open doorway at the far end of the courtyard to find the first guest to the right [Guest 1/3]. Climb the stairs leading to the Queen's Study and you'll find the second set of guests [Guest 2/3] in the stairwell. The final set of guests [Guest 3/3] is in the hallway at the top of the stairs. The Queen can be found in the room through the open door at the end of this hallway.

At this point a scene will play after which you'll be in what looks to be the Animus loading screen but is called – Memory Palace according to the clues there.

Part 5: The Memory Palace Investigation

In this Animus area we'll be revisiting each of the crimes that we have solved to this point. You'll have to either speak to an individual or investigate a clue at each location to glean a little more information about what's going on. We'll go through the following:

At the first crime scene interrogate Artie (ask about: Why evacuate?).
At the second crime scene interrogate Douglas (ask about: Why evacuate?).
At the third crime scene investigate the Dynamite Crates.
At the fourth crime scene investigate the Dynamite Crates.
After the fourth crime scene, three versions of Henry will appear. We'll need to speak to all three of them and then accuse one of them to proceed. The correct answer is Henry the Diversion.

Once you have accused correctly, more of the crime scenes that we have previously solved will appear. Again, you'll have to either speak to an individual or investigate a clue at each location to glean a little more information about what's going on. We'll go through the following:

At the first crime scene investigate the Scattered Papers on the bench at the back of the area.
At the second crime scene interrogate Mrs. Ashton (ask about: Diversion from what?).
At the third crime scene investigate the Newspaper on the desk next to the bed.
At the fourth crime scene interrogate Colonel Asquith (ask about: Diversion from what?).
As with the previous set of crime scenes, after the fourth, three versions of Henry will appear. We'll need to speak to all three of them and then accuse one of them to proceed. The correct answer is Henry the Master Thief.

Once you have accused correctly, more of the crime scenes that we have previously solved will appear. Again, one final time you'll have to either speak to an individual or investigate a clue at each location to glean a little more information about what's going on. We'll go through the following:

At the first crime scene interrogate Curtis (ask about: How was it stolen?).
At the second crime scene investigate the Spider on the desk by the foot of the stairs.
At the third crime scene interrogate Artie (ask about: How was it stolen?).
After completing three sets of crime scenes, three versions of Henry will appear again. As with the previous two instances of this setup we'll need to speak to all three of them and then accuse one of them to proceed. The correct answer is Henry and Observe.

After a brief scene, you'll find yourself back in the ‘real' world at Buckingham Palace.

Part 6: Assassinate the Target

Make your way up to the rooftop and approach the objective marker. As you arrive, the game will switch you over to the alternate character (Evie or Jacob depending on who you had just been using). Climb up to the rooftop and you'll see the other player character and the target aiming pistols at one another.

Run over, staying out of site and climb up the wall behind the target. From here you can perform an easy ledge assassination to kill him.

After the ensuing scene the memory and the Deadly crimes DLC pack will be completed.
