MSPR2. Vehicles
===============
There are 8 different types of vehicles in Pacific Rift. Each race will have
restrictions on which vehicle class you can use. If there is a certain vehicle
you want to use for that race that is within the class restrictions, you can
select it by choosing the vehicle class, going to the garage by pressing
Square, and scrolling through your available vehicles. Each vehicle class has
generic stats the max out at 5. After each time you rank up in the Festival,
you receive a new vehicle pack
=============
MSPR2A. Bikes
=============
Bikes are nimble and quick compared to the other vehicles. They also damage
real easily. Choosing a route is key to using a Bike. Bikes should stay high
and dry and avoid mud and other obstacles. You won’t be able to use Bikes in
the Festival until Rank 2

MSPR2C. Buggy
=============
Buggies are perfect for uneven landscapes but mud will still prove to be a bit
problematic. They offer superior handling on rough terrain and can knock Bikes
and ATV’s out of the way. Rally Cars and Racing Trucks will give you a fair
fight but it is advised not to anger the bigger vehicles

MSPR2D. Rally Car
=================
Rally Cars can blow past anyone on flat surfaces but due to a low chassis,
rough terrain can cause problems. Even though Rally Cars are somewhat stable,
fighting anything bigger than an ATV may not bode well for you. Avoid
collisions and keep your foot on the gas. You won’t be able to use Rally Cars
in the Festival until Rank 3

advantages; yet, they don’t have any major disadvantages, either. They can

vehicles

MSPR2F. Mudplugger
==================
Mudpluggers are designed to blow through mud. However, this vehicle’s real
strengths are big wheels and good suspension. Speed is a bit of a problem, but
it will take control while everyone else slows down to go through the mud. You
won’t be able to use Mudpluggers in the Festival until Rank 2

=====================
Monster Trucks are a force to be reckoned with. With gigantic wheels that can
get you through any surface, there isn’t much that can hinder Monster Trucks
abilities, except for sharp corners. Take one too fast and you will find most
likely find yourself respawning. You won’t be able to use Monster Trucks in
the Festival until Rank 3

MSPR3. Festival
===============
The festival takes place in one of the island’s distinct racing zones. There
are 4 zones you will race in. Each zone has 4 tracks that you will race on.
There are 2 new factors affecting your boost. Driving near open lava will cause
your boost to heat faster, keeping you from using as much as you want. Driving
through water will cool down your boost, allowing you to use more. After each
rank you will receive more events. Each area has two Rank 1 events. Upon
reaching Rank 2, you will receive 4 new events. Two races will unlock an
Eliminator event or Speed event and the others will be whichever is unlocked.
From Rank 3 and on, you will receive three events: One unlocks an Eliminator or
Speed, one is the Eliminator or Speed, and the third is a regular race.
==================
MSPR3A. Earth Zone
==================
The island’s Earth Zone throws racers deep into the island’s jungles and
forests. With the dense and dirty area, maneuvering through low visibility can
be treacherous. Split-second decisions will be needed to avoid all the
obstacles that can cause problems

================
High above the island’s tree line lies the Air Zone. Tracks will include fast
downhill runs, massive jumps, and sheer cliff edges. Smaller vehicles will have
more control but the bigger vehicles are still good for knocking the smaller
vehicles off the map. The best paths are laid out by organizers with ramps and
flags but one wrong move could cost you

MSPR3C. Fire Zone
=================
The Fire Zone can be found in the island’s volcanic lava fields. The Fire Zone
is full of fiery racetracks with rocky wastelands and creeping sheets of lava.
Organizers tried putting up ramps and flags but since it is off-road racing at
its most brutal, there aren’t many crash barriers. There is also another
dangerthat is present in the Fire Zone: open lava. Boosting near open lava
will causeyou boost to heat faster, keeping you from maximizing the potential
of your vehicle. Also, your vehicle may catch fire when you pass over open
lava but should go away a little after you land. In some cases, your vehicle
may be reset

so if you beat him, you win. You can choose from any of the 8 vehicle classes
and race on any of the 16 tracks. Each time is for lap around. After each lap,
your Boost meter will reset.

MSPR5. Race Types
=================
There are a few types of races available in Pacific Rift. There are Races,
Speed events, and Eliminator events
Races
-----
Races will be 2 laps around the course. The time of day will be different for
each race which can be bad depending on how much of the course is shaded. You
will race against 11-15 other drivers whose vehicle choice isn’t limited like
yours. You may only be able to use a Buggy, but you may race against Bikes,
ATV’s and Monster Trucks. Medals are awarded for first, second, and third,
like most races.
Speed
-----
There are 16 Speed events, one for each track. Speed events become available
after reaching Rank 2. To unlock Speed events, you will be given a race. While
looking at the ticket for the event, in the upper-right corner will be a Target
Time. You need to beat the Target Time and finish in the Top 3 to unlock the
Speed event. For Speed events, you will be given a vehicle class to use. Speed
events are basically checkpoint races. You will have so much time to get to the
checkpoints and time will be added on for passing through the checkpoints.
Earning a medal in Speed events is different than earning one in a race.
Bronze: All checkpoints
Silver: All checkpoints + 7 seconds remaining
Gold: All Checkpoints + 15 seconds remaining

Eliminator
----------
Just like Speed events, there are 16 Eliminators, one for each track.
Eliminators also become available after reaching Rank 2. To unlock Eliminator
events, you will be given a race. In the same area where you would find the
Target Time, instead you will be given a Wreck Limit. You will need to finish
in the Top 3 without wrecking more than the specified number. In Eliminators,
you will be up against 10 other drivers. After 20 seconds, the Eliminator clock
will begin counting down. If you happen to find yourself in last place, the
edges of screen will flash red. The Eliminator clock lasts for 15 seconds
