Plant Enlargement

One of the new features in Rune Factory 4 is that you can enlarge crops to make one super version of that plant. First you need to plant the seeds in a 2x2 position. Then buy an item called Giantizer from the flower store (price is 12000G). After a few days your plant will become big, and if you put in another Giantizer, the 4 piece of crop will merge into one super big version. The super big version are rare ingredients that can be for taming bosses and also used as crafting materials for certain items.

Main Walkthrough

Prologue

As you start a new game, you will be prompt with the following two choices.

"I'm flyin' high, baby!" Male Protagonist
"Goodness, I'm so high up!" Female Protagonist
The choice here will determine the gender of the protagonist. Watch the event scene and a group of soldiers will break out of the barrels and will forced you into combat.

Combat Tutorial
Basic combat is done by equipping a weapon on the tool command. To quickly equip your weapon, hold the L Button and select the Sword. Pressing the L Button is a quick way to access the inventory in the menu.
Now defeat the two soldiers and resume the game.

After the event scene, Volkanon (The Butler) will demonstrate the basics of the game. When Volkanon brings you to your room, he will have you examine the diary beside the bed, this is used for saving your file. Close the save menu and then examine the bed to sleep.

On the next morning, the butler, Clorica will wake you up. Eat the Apple Pie and take the north exit. Vishnal will teach you the basic of farming and will provide you with a hoe, waterpot and some turnip seeds. Equip the Hoe and sow the fields, then plant the seeds (You can throw four seeds at once if you Hold the Button). Use the waterpot and gather water from the well and then water the seeds with your waterpot.

Speak to Ventuswill (The Green Dragon) and meet Arthur. After the conversation is done, go outside and examine the red mail box (Eliza).

Take the first request from Eliza. Then go back to the Palace entrance (Dragon Room) and check the gold sign post on the right.

This is the Order Sign board, this is a new function added to the Rune Factory series. The "ORDER" command uses your nobility to expand and change the environment of Selphia Village. Now use the Order function to open the Cooking Contest festival. Each action in Order requires Prince/Princess Points (PP) to perform, every basic action in the game will increase your PP. Now leave and examine the red mail box and claim your reward.

Note: You will unlock more ORDER options when you earn a higher title or have improve the relationship between some of the villagers.
Leave the village and Forte will speak to you. Here you can adjust the difficulty setting from Easy to Hard. Select which ever difficulty setting you are most comfortable with. If you do not like the current the difficulty setting, you can change it by heading to the trophy room in your basement.

Note: Forte is the only character that will join your party no matter how low your Friendship/Love Points are, so bring her with you. Also keep in mind, all villagers will leave your party after 19:00, unless your friendship/love level has surpass 5.
Tips: New players to the Rune Factory franchise shouldn't need to feel pressure or overwhelm when starting a new game. There is no pace to keep up, you can play the game however you like.
Exit the village and head to right side of the field map, you will find the entrance to a forest.

Monster List	Drops
Wooly	Fur(S), Clippers
Before you go to the next area, it is highly recommended you to talk to all of the villagers living in Selphia Village. Not only you build a stronger relationship between them, but you can also trigger Town Events. Town Events have a large influence to the game, these can show side stories to certain characters, and certain parts of the game requires a special Town Event to trigger. I highly recommend doing them. For those that seek to marry one of the characters, you must finish all Town Events relating to that character before the game will let you marry them.

Ambrosia	720	N/A	????	Ultra Toyherb	Ambrosia Thorn, Toyherb Flower, Plant Stem
The first boss of the game can be a pushover. It starts with a larva form and after taking some damage, it will transform into a butterfly girl. In this form, Ambrosia will have a total of three unique attacks, she does a Kick when you are close to her, a shockwave attack that hits you when you're within her radius and a swarm of butterflies that slows you down. Each time she does an attack, she will pause for a split second, this is usually a sign to stay away from her. When she does her butterflies attack, you can easily avoid it by running to her side, (They are also harmless, but it will slow down your character speed if you are hit by them). Once Ambrosia HP goes down to 30% she will be enraged and start to attack faster.
Note: You can repeat boss fights to obtain boss drops.
After defeating Ambrosia, go visit the clinic and speak to Jones and Nancy. Leave the clinic and then head to the palace to speak with Ventuswill. Go to bed and then on the next day, visit the clinic and speak to Amber ( Ambrosia's Human form ) and watch the event. For the next event to trigger, you will need wait a few days, the first event scene begins when the protagonist starts to heard noises during his/her sleep. Confront Ventuswill about the noises and watch the event. Wait another two days and go to the Dragon Room to see an event between Ventuswill. You will receive Venti's Charm. Leave the village and head south. Volkanon will break the block of trees that prevented you from going to the south area. Now head to the southeast area until you find the Water Ruins.

Author's Recommendation: The monsters in this dungeon is stronger then the previous dungeon by a lot, I highly recommend you to at least upgrade your gear or status before you enter this dungeon.

One of them contains a diary, read the whole diary and then examine the painting on the northeast end. This should unlock the central door. Chimera	????	N/A	Fire, Water	?	Chimera Claws, Quality Fur, Demon's Blood
Exactly the same as previous Chimera boss fights from previous Rune Factory games. The Chimera is quite easy if you are careful. But due the Chimera's breath attacks, it can kill you real quick. The Chimera has two attack patterns, an ice breath that spray a large amount of bubbles, and it can shoot laser out of it's tail. The best way to avoid his attacks by dashing out of range when you get close to him and attack the Chimera from it's side. The biggest issue with this boss is a lot of his attack can cause paralyze, so make you bring some Para-Gone when coming here or bring party members that can heal.
Once you have defeated the boss, head to the room where Thunderbolt is located. (The center boss room), to see another scene. Now head to the inn and speak Lin Fa and then speak to the tourist (NPC without an portrait) in the lobby room, he will mention the location of the next Rune Sphere. Go take the south west exit of Selphia plains and go to Autumn Road. On the west end you can find the entrance to Delirum Lava Ruins. *If you have found one of the Rune Spheres in Selphia Plains, you can place that in the Obsidian Mansion Boss room, if not just carry on to the Lava Ruins.

Note: There is a hidden area located near the northwest end that leads you to the Revival Cave. In there you can fight a hidden boss for a chance to get some Dragon Bones.

There is a huge difficulty spike as you are go to this dungeon. It is recommended to build your forge and accessory crafting to level 20 to make sustainable gear for this area. Start the area by heading north until you have reach to the last map, in here you will find a yellow switch. Press it and this will clear the pillar at one of the earlier points of the dungeon. Head back to where that pillar was located and from here on keep on running east, then when the path split into two ways, you can run south for the treasures or run north to continue on to the next floor. Once you have reach to the second floor, a warp point is created for you to travel back to the entrance and vice versa. From here, your destination is the northwest corner to the boss room.

Rafflesia has four seperate piece to the main body, defeating them, can allow you pick up plant type drops. A lot of the Rafflesia's attack are projectile based and can cause paralyze to your party.

Water Ruins	West Boss Room
Delirum Lava Cave	Boss Room
West Selphia Plains	Found in the open field. *If you did not find this within a certain time, Doug will have it in the next event scene.
Head back to town and go to Ventuswill's room to see an event. Go around Selphia village and talk to everyone. Then on the next day go to the inn to find Barrett and then speak to him. Head to Leon Karnak (to the west side of Obsidian Mansion). If the proper requirements are done, you will be fighting a boss as soon as you enter.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Heaven's Gate	????	N/A	N/A	N/A	N/A
This boss battle is very simple, it is practically an oversized gate that spawn enemies. Just treat it as a regular monster encounter and destroy the gate. Every once in a while the gate will change colour, this represents the current Gate element, so make sure you stop attacking if the Heaven's Gate is under the the element of your equipped weapon.
Watch the event and enter the gate.

Main Walkthrough (Continued)

??? (Unknown)

This location is rather straight forward, just clear all the enemies, then enter next room. Each time you clear a room, there will a brief dialouge, just keep going forward until you have reach to the least room. Once you have enter the last room there will be a boss fight.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Left Statue	????	N/A	Fire	N/A	N/A
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Right Statue	????	N/A	Water	N/A	N/A
Quite a simple boss battle, there is two statues that is stationed on the left and right side. The statue's colour represent their element, One statue will use fire attacks and the other will dish out ice attacks. Once you destroy one of the statues, the other one will be enraged, so be careful. If you are having a hard time fighting it's enraged form, try to finish the two statues near the same time, to avoid the boss being enraged.
As soon as you finish this boss battle, you will fight another one after.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Sarcophagus ????	N/A	Water	Gold Juice	Crystal Skull
Sarcophagus has a frequent pattern of teleporting and shooting projectiles in all different directions. A lot of the boss attacks comes directly in front, so try to attack from either behind or by the side. When the boss goes berserk, it will start to use a rain like attack, you can avoid this by running to the corner. Most of the boss attacks are light element, so if you have light reduction accessories, they will be quite useful for this battle.
Note: If you are defeated in this battle, you will have to restart from the Heaven's Gate battle.
Main Walkthrough Second Segment

Idra Cave

Even though you have just watch the game credits. The game is not over yet, in fact you're not even half way finish. The game will now start the second story arc of Rune Factory 4. Once you have control over the protagonist, wait till next day and speak to Ventuswill. Then talk to the Amber, Dylas, Dolce and Leon. Speak to the other villagers as well, after a week has gone by, try exiting the town from the south gate. The protagonist will hear a loud scream, go back to town and watch the event.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Sechs Dragon	????	????	????	N/A	None
On this boss fight, Forte will automatically join your party. Treat the boss as a regular enemy, it does have a very high defense status, so your damage against it might be low. If you have a weapon with a high crit rating it could make this boss fight alot easier as crit can pierce through defense.
Once you have defeated the Sechs soldier, run to the palace and check up on Ventuswill. Then go to the clinic and leave the village. Now travel to where the Water Ruins is located. Then from there, you need to go further southwest to reach to the Celsetso Hills, in the center of the this area you can find the Idra Cave.

Note: When there is a Typhoon going on, you can fight a secret boss near the bridge area. It is a level 147 Monster that can drop Mealy Apple which is can be one of the best upgrades items in the game if you reverse it's effects with.
Field Items
Iron, Scrap Metal, Bronze, Silver, Gold
Monster List	Drops
Orc Viking	Glue, Shoulder Piece, Wine
Tundra	Water Crystal, Magic Crystal
Mammoo	Ivory Tusk, Unbroken Ivory Tusk, Tin Waterpot
Emperor Penguin	Bird Feather, Emperor
Snowy	Orange
Blue	Water Crystal, Blue Core
The Idra Cave is a very large dungeon, some of the areas can only be access one way. To reach the next floor you have to find the Yellow and Red Switch located in the northwest and northeast corner. Once you have pressed the two swtiches, you can access the area in the center to reach to the next floor. In the second floor, take one of the two warps, from here you have to go to every area until you find a switch, this switch will clear one of the rooms in the opposite side. Then you will have to go back to starting area and take the warp to the opposite side and find the room where the pillar has been removed. You will find switches that will will removed the pillar blocking center, letting you travel to the next floor. The last floor is fairly simple, you go in a loop pattern due most of the paths being only one way. When you push the switches in this section, they will closed one path and then open the other, once you have reach to the save point, saved your game and fight the boss.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Terraclone	????	Wind	Earth	Turnip Heaven	Earth Dragon Ash
If you have fought Terrable from previous Rune Factory games, then you will know what to expect here. Except the battle ground for this boss fight is very small compare to the previous games. Good thing this is only a clone and is no where as strong as previous incarnations. Terrable's attack are creating meteor storms, that you can avoid by watching the shadows of the ground and moved of the ranger. Other attacks includes creaing a giant pillar of rocks. Because Terrable is gong to be your first Dragon Boss, it has lot of HP and it will take a while for you to defeat it.
Return back to town and speak to Arthur. Arthur will tell you a way to reach to the Sechs Kingdom. Now return back to the where Delirum Lava Cave is located and travel to the furthest southwest area. This will take you to Maya Road.

Maya Road

Field Items
Iron, Scrap Metal, Bronze, Silver, Aquamarine, Water Crystal, Fire Crystal, Wind Crystal, Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, Amethyst, Light Ore, Gold
Monster List	Drops
Heracles	Rigid Horn, Insect Carapace, Pretty Carapace
Hammer Troll	Hammer Piece, Giant's Nail
??? (All Types)	Mysterious Powder

Blackbird	Black Bird Feather, Stick, Branch
Planchoa	Plant Stem, Root, Strong Vine
Airror	Wind Crystal, Magic Crystal
Green	Wind Crystal, Green Core
Tornado Gate	Wind Crystal
Before heading to Maya Road, I highly suggest crafting a weapon with Elemental properties or bring a Staff weapon, because there are some monsters in Mount Maya that can absorb physical properties and require decent magic power to overcome them. The layout of Maya Road's is very straight forward, but it is also very long, the area has three check points. Just keep heading west until you reach to a dead end, once you do you have to fall through a pit to travel underground to reach to other areas. You will also notice that in Maya Road there are switches in places you can't reach, simply just throw an item on top of it. The layout of the map will also try to trick you, you will notice that some areas will have a wall blocking you path, but you can actually cross through them. The protagonist will actually give you a hint and suggest using magic to see if the wall are fake.

Once you have reach to the third save point, save your game and fight the boss right just ahead.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Fiergaenger	15500	Water	Fire	Gold Juice	Fire Dragon Ash
Fiersome is back from previous Rune Factory games, the fight is not too difficult, but you don't have much space to maneuver because Fiersome takes up most of the screen. Fiersome's attack mostly cover a lot of range, from swinging his body, to fire attacks. The attack you need to really watch out for is when he tries to pull you in while all the fireballs is also coming towards him.
Once you have defeated Fiersome, head west and leave the area.

Sechs Territory

Defeat the Sechs Guards and then move to the next area, this area goes in a counter clockwise direction, which means you clear from the right area first then eventually will end up in the left side of the area. Once you have found the switch to unlock the area, head in there to enter to cavern area of the Sechs Territory. The cavern area is pretty simple, there will be warp points that can teleport to the left or the right, the left area will take you to next area and right warp point will take you back to where you came from.

The last section of the Sechs Territory is very small, there is also an area where a statue will not let you pass unless you have a wife and child. That area is mini area where you can fight the Crystal Mammoth Boss and find a crafting material called the White Stone. If you don't have a family, just continue on to where the next save point is. Then prepare for the boss battle that is just ahead.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Aquameleon	18000	Fire	Water	Gold Juice	Water Dragon Ash
Aquaticus will be the last dragon clone you will be fighting. If you have played Rune Factory 3 before, you will know the pattern is exactly the same. You can attack him the best when he's stationary and will start to swirl more frequent as his HP gets lower. When he starts moving a lot, he will lay out Bits that can shoot lasers at you. An attack you need to watch out for is his bubble breath attack, they can do alot of hits and take you out instantly.
Floating Emperor

South Section
West Section
East Section
Watch the event scene, Arthur will take you to the Floating Fortress. If you decide to go back to town, you can reach here again by simplying using the air ship panel in town. The dungeon is divided into three areas and you must clear all the areas to unlock the final room in the center. The south section is fairly linear area, the west sections consist of warp points and the east section contains pillars blocking your path. When you reach to the end of each section there will be a mini boss that must face. There is also a low chance of finding platinum in crates, platinum can be used to craft some of the best equipment at this point of the game.

South Section

Monster List	Drops
Thunderbird	Thunderbird Feather, Stick
Little Dragon	Dragon Fang
Fortoise	Blk. Tortoise Shell, Gold, Silver
Hover Soldier	Cheap Propeller, Iron
Pepper Ghost	Green Pepper Seed, Green Pepper, Hood
The southern area features a strong gust of wind preventing you to reach to certain spots. Start the area by heading down and then go west. You can take a detour and head south. In here place an object from your inventory on to the switch. Doing this will removed the wind that where the green switch is located. Pressed the switch and then return to the previous area and head east. Press the blue switch and continue on to the next area, keep moving to the next room until you see a purple switch, you can press it to change the direction of the wind, this can let lead you to the room to the east or west. Continue on west and head south. In there there's a path to two rooms, head to the room on the left first and clear all monsters and then push the switch, do the same thing for the room on the east. This will unlock a save point, head to the next room to fight a boss.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Fortress Tank +	24000	Love	????	N/A	MTGU Plate, Gold
The Fortess Tank is a stationary target and has a total of three attacks, the tank can shoot several bubbles, then blast a cannon in one direction. The most deadly attack is the lighting bolt, because its quick and covers a lot of space. Once it's HP drop below half, the tank will go berserk and start to move and spray bullets in all different directions. It will charge at you and can blast a laser in one direction. You need move out of the Tank's sight if it start to charge it's laser or else it could be a game over.
Then continue to the next room, here you need there's two portals, the one in the south returns you to the entrance, while the one on the north one will take you to area that you can't reach before. (It looks like there are walls blocking the north portal, but the path there is actually very narrow and hidden between). Take the north portal and continue on the area when you reach near the end you will find a treasure chest containing an Invisible Stone. Now return to the entrance of the flying fortress and continue with either the east or west section.

West Section

The west section is filled with warp portals that leads to one room after another. Start by heading west until you find two portals. (If you take the wrong portal, you will most likely will end up back to the beginning.) Start by taking the warp below, now head to the room on the right and take the warp. There is only one room to go here, so head west and take the warp. In here there is two rooms you can warp to, if you take the north room, you will eventually find a chest that contains 18000g, but it will lead your progress back to the beginning. To continue forward take the room on the west and head to the warp. Then next head to the room below and take the warp to the next area. Go north to the next room, but DO NOT take the warp or else you will be warped back to the beginning. Defeat all the monsters first, it will clear the area and reveal a switch. Press the switch and then take the room on the north and head to the warp. In here you will find a save point and a warp that takes you back to the beginning.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Sechs Golem ????	Love	????	N/A	Golem Tablet
Due to the high defense of the Sechs Golem, there is a high chance you will not have any success winning this battle unless you are using equipment with high magic attack power. The Golem only has a few attacks, it can shoot it's fist like a rocket or punch you when you're near it. The Golem can also spins it's arm around and it will hurt you when you're near it.
East Section

This section of the dungeon is pretty straightforward, you need to find a total of nine different colour switches to removed all the pillars. This area is setup like in a linear pattern where the pillars will block all possible passage leaving you with only one path and alot of backtracking. Start the area by heading towards south east until you have reach a dead end. You can find a yellow switch here. Press it and it will removed the Yellow Pillars, return to the starting area and go east. Then now travel all the way north until you reach to the last area, here you can find a red switch near a fire trap. Press the red switch and then return two maps south to where the red pillar was. Go east and head one map south to find a blue switch. Press the blue switch and then head back to the area where the red switch was. You will notice the blue pillar is gone. Head east and then head one map south, continue east and then head south and then one map east and then south again. You will find a green switch in this area. Push the green switch and then return all the way north to where the green pillars where located and then continue east. Now head north, you will need to defeat all the monsters in this room, this will reveal a pink switch in the center. Push it and then return to the starting area and run east all the way to where the Pink Pillars are. Here head south to find another switch, press it and then return to the previous map and head east. You should find a save point and the boss room right ahead.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Sechs Tank	18700	Love	????	N/A	Shiny Screw, Rusty Screw
The Sechs tank doesn't have many variety of attacks. It spins around when you get close to it. If you're far away, it can shoot two lasers that covers large part of the screen. Sometimes it will also spin around barrage of bullets, which you can dodge through in between. Once it's health gets low, it can it's laser attack, which will cover nearly the entire screen. This can be easily dodged by hiding near the side of the tank.
Now that you have completed all three sections. Return back to the entrance, the center area is now unlocked, head in there to fight the final boss of the main story.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Ethelberd ????	Love	????	N/A	Shiny Screw, Rusty Screw
This is the final boss of the game and it's a pretty long fight, Ethelberd basic movement consist of teleporting around and shoot projectiles at you. He can also temporary transform into a one of the dragons to unleash their signature attacks like droping a huge way of meteors. The attack you must be extremely careful, is when he charge up and unleash a small blue energy ball on the center. The energy ball will expand covering the entire map and will kill your entire party instantly, to avoid this, you must head to the corner near the pillars as far as to the edge as possible. Once you have manage to defeat Ethelberd, he will powered up and a scripted battle will occur. Follow the event scenes until you have finished the game.
Clearing the game will add new Extra Orders. These functions includes all sorts of things such as enemy HP gauge, music change, character appearance and a bunch of other game changing functions. There is also an Order that unlocks the Sharance Maze, but it's not recommended to go there until you have cleared the third story arc.

Main Walkthrough Third Segment

Leon Karnak

This is a post ending game event, it can take a few weeks game time for the event to trigger or even a year game time. Everything here is completely reliant on luck. First visit the Palace and examine the spot where Ventuswill used to be. Choose the first choice, that you will do your best. On the next day do the same thing again, but choose the second choice. Then repeat the same thing on the next day. Instead this time pick the third. The blue examination mark on where Venti used to be should now be gone.

For the next part, you must trigger the Town event "Memories". The prerequisite is entirely random, however if you have at least 7 Friendship/Love Level with Amber and Dylas, you can bring them with your party, and if they leave your party on the next day, there is a high chance that Memories might trigger.

For the Town Event to trigger, it could take you a few days game time to trigger or it can be a very long time (It took a year game time for me in my Japanese file and only two month game time in my American file, so it's all about luck.) Town Events are totally random, but there are some factors that can boost the chance of triggering them. One of them is talk to all the villagers, and save the game, then sleep and then speak to the villager and see if there is anything different or odd for daily conversation. Having a higher relationship level can also boost a chance of the sub event to be more related to that character. Check the diary to see if any sub event activated.

Anyways once you have trigger the sub event remember, Go to the flower shop and watch the event between Amber and Dylas. Then in the next day, go to the clinic and watch the event with Dolce and Pico. Sleep and go to the inn and watch the event with Barrett and Leon. After three days or so, go to Dragon Gate (Lobby of your house) and watch the event. The next day go visit the inn and watch the event with Raven and Dolce. Then talk to Raven. The next day go to Dragon Gate (Lobby of your house) and see the event. Then head to Leon Karnak (Area west of Obsidian Mansion).

There are two ladders in the starting area, climb the ladder on the right and head to the next area. You can go east here and fight Chipsqueaks, for a chance of obtaining Double Steel and 10-Fold Steel. These can enhance your accessory 2-8x the previous effect which is really good for crafting end game gear. Anyways continue on and head west, then push the yellow switch to remove the Yellow Pillar in the previous area, you can also climb up ladder here to find a red switch. This will be remove the red pillar in the area. Return to the previous area and head west, there is also a switch that will remove the blue pillar in the starting area. You will find several kinds of these switch in this area, they require you to leave an item there. From here on it will get pretty linear, just keep heading on to the next area, until you have find a save point.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Grimorie 2	????	????	Wind	N/A	Grimorie Scale
If you have been doing seed dungeons, you might have encountered the Grimorie before. However this Grimorie is a Lv 100 version of it, so it hits pretty hard at this stage of the game. The main attack you should watch out for it is the tornado spell, if you get hit by it you mostly likely end up getting instantly killed, so avoid it at all cost.
Once you have defeated the Grimorie, head west until you have reach a dead end. Enter the portal and then climb the stairs, you can head east until you have reach to the top or explore on the west side for map completion and items. When you find another save point, climb up the ladder and fight the boss.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Left Statue	20000	Water	Fire	N/A	N/A
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Right Statue	18000	Fire	Water	N/A	N/A
This is the exact same boss fight during the ending of the first story arc. The only differences is they are at a much higher level, but every thing else stays the same. The statue colour represent their element. One statue will use fire attacks and the other one will dish out ice attacks. Once you destroy one of the statues, the other one will be enraged, so be careful. If you are having a hard time, try to finish the two statues near the same time, to avoid the boss being enraged.
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Sarcophagus	28000	N/A	N/A	Gold Juice	Crystal Skull, Magic Crystal, Lumber
Exactly the same as before except now Sarcophagus is nearly level 200. Sarcophagus has a frequent pattern of teleporting and shooting projectiles in all different directions. A lot of the boss attacks comes directly in front, so try to attack from either behind or by the side. When the boss goes berserk, it will start to use a rain like attack, you can avoid this by running to one of the corner. A lot of the boss attacks are light element, so if you have light reduction accessories, they will be quite useful for this battle. Once you have defeated the boss, stay away from it. The Orbs spinning around the boss will be still active and can hit you pretty hard.
Once you have clear the two boss fights, head back to the entrance of Leon Karnak and examine the wall on the center.

Rune Prana

This is the largest dungeon in the game, it will probably take several days or weeks of game time to fully explore this dungeon. There is exactly seven sections of this dungeon.

Location	Main Boss
Temple Area	Warp Dragon
Beach Area	Octopirate 2
Snow Field	Crystal Mammoth
Volcano Area	Hinoe & Kinoto
Cave Area	Siren
Temple Area 2	Death Wall
Forest Area	Ragnarok
Temple Area

The first part of the dungeon is fairly simple and linear. There is two switches that need to be pressed to unlock the area in the center. The switch are located in the west and east end of the area. The west switch has a very annoying obstacle. You have to defeat all the Flare Mages in the area before you can press the switch, the problem is they have a wall covering them, preventing you from reaching them. The best way to deal with them is to equip a fire immunity accessory, and use a weapon with a very long range to hit them. You can extend weapon range by synthesize a weapon with a Glitter Stone. If you do not have one, you can try using a spear or two hand sword, but its very difficult to hit them. You can also mine Oricalcum ore in this area, this material will let create new armor and weapons suitable on par for this area. Once you have successfully pressed the two switches, go to the area in the center and fight the boss.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Warp Dragon	40100	N/A	Wind (Absorb)	????	Eletro Crystal
A returning boss from previous Rune Factory games, the Bane Dragon has a simple pattern. It can create an electric spark that chases you and can go invisible. Each time when it reappears again the Bane Dragon will either stick his tongue at you or breathe out a green smoke that will paralyze you. There is no way you can hit the Bane Dragon when it's invisible so wait till he appears and use that opportunity to strike. Once the Bane Dragon's HP is below 50% it will go berserk, it will create larger electric sparks and also can stomp you when it reappears.
Beach Area

The map in this area is pretty straightforward. However you will probably notice a lot of area is blocked by having a strong gust. The legitimate way to by pass the wind is to wear the equipment Heavy Boots. But you can also use the Spear Rune Ability Axel Disaster, this will let you dive through the wind. Beware of the plant traps though, these traps are heavily upgraded and can kill you nearly instantly if you step in a few of them. If you travel to the north east area, you can find a treasure chest containing a recipe for an accessory, and to bypass the wind, I suggest using Axel Disaster in an angle. Once you finished exploring, return to the entrance area and travel west until you have reach to the end.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Octopirate 2	40100	N/A	Wind (Absorb)	????	Eletro Crystal
If you have been doing Seed dungeons, you might have encountered the Octopirate. This is an upgraded version that is around a level 200 base. The Octopirate is probably the easiest boss in Rune Prana, it got a high defense, but also low attack power compare to the other boss in this area. The Octopirate has very few attacks, it likes to attack you with it's tentacles when you get near it, the damage from this attack is extremely low so having high defense will help. The other attacks is where the Octopirate throws a spike ball at you. The spike ball can be easily avoid by running out of his aim.
Snow Field

This is the smallest section of Rune Prana. If you travel two maps north, you will immediately head into a boss fight. However there hidden passage through the trees that can take you to the east and west end. In there you can fight High Orc Vikings which drops materials to craft stronger gear.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Crystal Mammoth	42560	Fire	Water	????	Diamond, Icy Nose
Volcano Area

A lot of monsters in this area regenerate from fire attacks. The worse part is the heat in the area can prevent the monsters from dying and will deal damage to yourself. If you're ever stuck in a room with a force field and the monster won't die, it simply because of healing properties the room gave them. Start the dungeon by heading north and in this area you can head right and fight a Red Dragon. Defeat it will pop open a treasure chest containing a curry recipe. Now return the previous room and head west. Here there is two rooms the room on the west is filled with Fire Spirit Monsters, if you manage to defeat them, a switch will pop that will spawn more dragons. There is no reason to be in this room unless you want to grind for experiences points, so head to the room north instead. Defeat all the monsters in this area. This will reveal a yellow switch, press it and it will removed the yellow pillar in the starting area. Head to the room where yellow pillar was. You have watch out for the fire trap, avoid it and press the blue switch within the area and continue north. This room appears to be a dead end, but their is actually a hidden passage on the right through the pile of rock. Take the path to east again, another hidden passage is located through the rocks. Once you press the red switch, head back to where the red pillar is and fight the boss.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Hinoe (Red Lion)
AKA: Crimsone	39000	Love	Fire	????	Red Lion Fur
Kinoto (Blue Lion)
AKA: Aramanthine	31500	Love	Wind	????	Blue Lion Fur
Cave Area

This boss fight is actually a lot easier then fighting the Crystal Mammoth, even if you are fighting two boss at the same time. Each lion has a different elemental, but Aramanthine is more magic based, while Crimsone is more physical. Aramanthine can heal about 30% of it's HP when it's HP drop to a certain point and it also can cast tornados. Crimsone magic is much more simple and just breathes fire in a straight line. It best to deal equal damage to both lions so you can take them both out at the same time. Because when one lion dies the other lion will goes berserk, which will increase it's attack power and could possibly kill your character instantly.
Start the area by running left and then south, defeat all the monsters in the area, it will create a red switch near a treasure chest. From here head all the way to the northwest to where the dead end is. From the last room on where the dead end is, head south and then head east, It is another hidden passage, in this you will go through a tunnel of falling boulders. Pass through it and you will be at the start area. Destroy the gate and then take the warp and then kill all the monsters in the area, this will create a red switch to exactly where you were earlier. Back track all the way there and press the Yellow switch to remove the Yellow Pillar. Then head to the north exit to fight the boss.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Siren	42000	?	?	????	Melody Bottle, Mealy Apple (Rare)
Siren have a few attack patterns, she usually will sit down and start singing notes. The notes can be extremely dangerous, because one of them carry an instant kill effect. Try attacking Siren and run from away from where the direction of the notes. If Siren dives into the water, she will call monsters into battle. You will need to defeat all the monsters before Siren will show up again. Siren can also swing her tail which can shoot four water laser in one direction. Once you have defeated Siren, her drop will most likely fall into the pond. You need a fishing rod to obtain the loot.
Temple Area 2

This section of the dungeon is pretty straightforward, however this area is also laced with the most amount of traps and every one of them is lethal. You need to defeat all the monsters in each room before you can actually remove the walls. Start by heading north until you reach to a dead end with a Guardian Monster. Defeat The Guardian and gate surrounding the area, it will reveal a red switch. You will need to place an item on a white switch in the same room (This will removed the block near the red switch), then return to starting area and head west and keep moving until you finally reach to where that red switch is. Press the red switch and then take the north exit to fight the boss.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Death Wall	62000	?	?	Ice Cream	Broken Ice Wall, Small Crystal
The Death Wall isn't a hard boss, but I highly suggest bringing an extra party member because of one of his attacks. Death Wall mostly relies on transforming into different objects to attack you. If it transform into a sword, it will swing three strikes in your direction. If its transform into a hammer it will slam that ground covering a certain radius around it. The attack you need to watch out for is when it transform into a drill, it will just keep drilling into your knockout. Thats why it is suggested to bring party members so that Death Wall will attack them as bait.
Forest Area

The last section of Rune Prana is entirely straightforward. There are some rooms that are blocked off and can be open by growing large vegetables.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Dead Tree 2	?	?	?	Greenifer+	Moving Branch, Apple, Apple Tree Seed
This time you will fight the Dead Tree again, except its been heavily upgraded from the previous battle. The Dead Tree shoots apple projectiles and they are faster and much more compare to the version in Yokmir Forest. When then Dead Tree's HP reach below 50%, the apples will become even larger making it even harder to dodge.
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Chimera 2	?	?	?	?	Chimera's Tail, Chimera's Claw
Chimera 2 is not that much of a difference between the one you have fought in Water Ruins. It is a bit faster, but it's attack pattern remains the same.
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Greater Demon 2 x2	?	?	?	?	Chest Hair, Quality Fur

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
G Golem	?	?	Physical (50%)	Oricalcum	Tablet of Truth, Golem Tablet, Platinum, Diamond
The G Golem is perhaps the hardest boss in the game based on your current gear. Due to G Golem's ridiculous high defense and crit resistance, you will do next to no damage to it with the best gear you can find at the moment. There are a few methods you can rely on defeating this boss. If you rely on physical attacks, it is best to have the Rune Ability Cyclone or Double Kick, the last hit in these particular move have Defense Piercing, which can deal normal damage on the last hit despite the G Golem's high defense. The other method is to craft the best staff weapon and use magic attacks as they work fairly well against the G Golem. The G Golem's attack pattern is exactly the same as the Sech Golem boss found in the Floating Empire, except it is bigger and faster. It can do a rocket punch, and also spin his arms which will hurt you when you are close to it. If you run out of ideas on defeating the G Golem. You can try to tame it by using orichalcum.
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Olive	?	?	Earth	?	Yellow Core, Earth Crystal, Small Crysta
Emerald	?	?	Wind Green Core, Wind Crystal, Small Crystal
Rouge	?	?	Fire Red Core, Fire Crystal, Small Crystal
Marin	?	?	Water Blue Core, Water Crystal, Small Crystal
These four elemental fairies have a very strong magic attack power based and can instantly KO your character if you get hit by multiple projectiles. The good part is they are also very fragile and can be defeated easily before they can unleash their magic at you. Try to defeat them real quick instead of prolonging the fight, this battle should be a total breeze compare to the G Golem.
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Ragnarok	?	?	?	N/A	Throne of the Emperor
This is a palette swap of Etherberd. The attack pattern is exactly the same as the final boss of story arc 2. Except now he moves faster and shoot more projectiles at you. One of the major differences with this battle is Etherberd can transform into one of the four dragons and use their ultimate attack. For example, Ragnarok can transform to Terrable to unleash a giant meteor or Ventuswill for a tornado attack. Otherwise this whole battle is pretty much the same as the Etherberd battle in arc 2.
Once you have defeated Ragnarok, head to the next room. Then head back to town. There's no credits this time, you're done with the game.

Sharance Maze and Bonus

Sharance Maze is the ultimate dungeon in Rune Factory 4. The Sharance Maze can be unlocked by using the Order Command right after finishing the second story arc.

It is highly recommended that you should do Sharance Maze after clearing Rune Prana. For those players that have trouble triggering the third story arc, you can try to entering the Sharance Maze and hope to find a treasure chest room You might get lucky and find a Level 70 to 99 weapon, which can even make players that haven't cleared Rune Prana with a small chance of clearing the Sharance Maze. A guarantee reward for clearing the Sharance Maze is a Recipe Bread+. Recipe Bread+ allows you to learn recipes that has a crafting level of 80 and up.

The layout of Sharance Maze is entirely random, however there are things that can modify the layout of the dungeon. If you equip a Rosary before entering, it would create each floor with only the boss. This is useful for those that are only interested in grinding boss loot and Recipe Bread+.

Section	Name	Suggested Level	Number of Floors
1st Section	Garden of Light	300	10
2nd Section	Smoldering Prominence	350	10
3rd Section	Deepwater Shrine	400	10
4th Section	Dragon Ruins	450	12
5th Section	Challenge to Fantasy	500	20
6th Section	Banquet of Nightmares	1000	30
Garden of Light

Suggested Level	300
Number of Floors	10
Monsters in this section aren't that much strong then the last section of the Sharance Maze. The monster's average level here have raised an extra 50 levels. But it doesn't make much of a difference here. In here you will be fighting all the main storyline bosses from Rune Factory 2.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Greater Demon 2	?	?	?	N/A	Chest Hair, Quality Fur
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Chimera 2	?	?	?	N/A	Chimera's Tail, Chimera's Claw
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
G Golem	?	?	Physical (50%)	Oricalcum	Tablet of Truth, Golem Tablet, Platinum, Diamond
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Grimorie 2	????	????	Wind	N/A	Grimorie Scale
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Terrable	????	Wind	Earth (Absorb)	????	Earthwyrm Scale, Dragon Fang
Exactly the same as the Terraclone boss fight in Idra Cave. The actual Terrable isn't too difficult, if you equipped Earth Resistant accessory, his magic attacks will do nothing to you. The only differences with this boss fight and the clone is that Terrable drops meteor at a more rapid pace. If you see Terrable start to Roar, get away from him, this is a sign that he will drop a bunch of Meteors and can lead to an instant death.
Smoldering Prominence

Suggested Level	350
Number of Floors	10
Monsters in this section aren't that much strong then the last section of the Sharance Maze. The monster's average level here have raised by 50 levels. But it doesn't make much of a difference here. This section will have you fight all the main storyline bosses from Rune Factory 2.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Dead Tree 2	128120	?	?	N/A	Moving Branch, Apple, Apple Tree Seed
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Octopirate 2	?	?	Water (Absorb)	N/A	Fish Fossil, Ammonite
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Crystal Mammoth 2 ?	?	Water	N/A	Diamond, Icy Nose
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Fiersome ?	Water	Fire (Absorb)	N/A	Firewyrm Scale, Dragon Fang, The Protein
Fiersome is a lot easier boss then Terrable, his attacks are powerful but doesn't seem to kill you instantly like Terrable's meteorites. Fiersomes will often fly around and then slam the ground which will cause a shockwave that hits in eight directions (The clone version in Maya Road does not produce a shockwave). Other attacks includes creating explosions randomly around him. Fiersome can also create a giant fireball that moves in a weird arc pattern. The attack you need to watch out for is when he starts to pull you into him while creating a bunch of fire orbs in the background. This attack is the most fatal when fighting against him in the Sharance Maze.
Deepwater Shrine

Suggested Level	400
Number of Floors	10
For this area you get to fight all the bosses from Rune Factory 3. They are exactly the same as the ones you encounter in Rune Prana and in the field map, so you're not going to be finding any exclusive items here.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Magnuto	?	?	?	N/A	Raccoon Leaf, Udon
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Ancient Bones	?	?	?	N/A	Dragon Bones, Fish Fossil
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Hinoe (Red Lion)
AKA: Crimsone	????	Love	Fire	????	Red Lion Fur
Kinoto (Blue Lion)
AKA: Aramanthine	????	Love	Wind	????	Blue Lion Fur
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Death Wall	?	?	?	Ice Cream	Broken Ice Wall, Small Crystal
Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Aquaticus ?	Water	Fire (Absorb)	N/A	Dragon Fin, Legendary Scale, intelligencer
Aquaticus is probably the hardest boss of the four dragons. Simply because he swirls really quick and when you're trapped inside him, you will most likely be KO instantly. There is a huge boost of difficulty compare to Fiersome despite having a 50 level difference. If Aquaticus comes near you and bite you, the damage output on that attack is so high, there is a chance of it probably one shot you. You need to also watch out for his water bits, because they can shoot lasers at you from a distance.
Dragon Ruins

Suggested Level	450
Number of Floors	20
In this section you will fight all of the main story line bosses. Most of the boss remains the same, but Ambrosia has been greatly upgraded making her perhaps the toughest challenge in starting this section. Despite only gaining a 50 level leap in this part, the monsters seem to have a massive upgrade compare to the last section.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Aquaticus ?	Earth	Wind (Absorb)	N/A	Wind Dragon Tooth, Dragon Fang
This is one of the unique boss that can only be fought in the Sharance Maze. Because when you fought Ventuswill in the main storyline, the whole battle was scripted, so you never get to fight her for real. Ventuswill is kind of slow, but her attacks hit really hard, she can fly pretty quick and move to one area after another. She can put orbs around the background which can hit you pretty hard when you touch them. The attacks you need to seriously watch out for is when she charge up. This usually mean she will unleash a huge tornado or a huge amount of wind projectiles. This could be instant K.O if you touch them. Just attack Ventuswill with your best attack and stay out of her range if you she charge up.
Challenge to Fantasy

Suggested Level	500
Number of Floors	20
Monsters in this section of the Sharance Maze have a huge upgrade compare to the previous sections. The layout of this is a little different, you will now fight a level 550 boss per every two floors and the boss are completely random. You could be fighting any boss from the game, like a Sech Tank to even fighting Ventuswill. If you manage to reach to the last floor, you will fight a higher level version of Ragnarok. (End boss in Rune Prana). If you defeat it, there is a chance of it dropping a Rune Sphere Shard which is a material for making some of the best items in game.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Ragnarok	?	?	?	N/A	Rune Sphere Shard, Throne of the Emperor
Banquet of Nightmares

Suggested Level	1000
Number of Floors	30
This is exactly the same setup as the previous section. Except this time there is a total of 30 floors instead of 20. Because the monster here have an average level of 1000 to 1050, you might get instant KO even from wearing the best gear in the game. If you manage to reach to the very last part. You will fight Ragnarok again, and it's has a chance of dropping the Rune Sphere Shard. Once you have completed this area. You have done everything there is to Rune Factory 4.

Boss	HP	Weakness	Resist	Taming Item	Item Drop
Ragnarok	?	?	?	N/A	Rune Sphere Shard, Throne of the Emperor

Request (Eliza)

There are daily sidequest that you can be fulfill by examining the mail box at the entrance of your house. The talking mail box, "Eliza" will allow you to do one to two request a day. The request system has some minor changes to the previous Rune Factory games. If you have already finished a given task before accepting the quest, you can automatically claim the reward without doing the task from scratch.

Note: If you cannot finish a request, you can always cancel it by opening the book icon on the touch screen. If you manage to beat the game and completed all of Eliza's 97 request, you will unlock an Order that allows you to carry your game data over when you start a new game. (That option can only be used once per file).

Town Event

Town Event are events that occurs randomly. Completing these will add an additional depth to each character's storyline and some Town Events are required to trigger their marriage events or else they will reject your proposal. This system is very similar to Rune Factory Frontier. Because Town Event is entirely random, there is no way of knowing when they will occur. However you can increase your chance of triggering events, by closing festivals, so that your festival dates would not override the Town Event. When a Town Event is happening, check your diary, an additional option will show up as "Town Event" and will list the event's name and the characters that are involved.

The best method to unlock Town Events is check if the next day is a Festival or someone's birthday. If it is, those events will override the Town Event from happening. The best way of unlocking is to talk to every villager in Selphia. Once you have talked to everyone, saved your game and then speak to all the villagers and see if any character's dialouge is odd. Once you have spoken to all the villagers go to your room and check the diary. Another way of checking is if you have a character in your party and if their friendship/love level is above 7 and suddenly leave your party, this is a sign that there is a Town Event involving that character.

To complete a Town Event, you need to see all the events until the Town Event is removed from the Diary Option.
There is some Town Events that do not display in the Diary. Simply because they are finished before you can read the diary.
Characters that are involved in the Town Events will most likely not join your party until you have completed them.

Handicraft Contest [Fall 19]

In this contest, you submit an item crafted yourself to Volkanon. You will win this contest based on the item's difficulty and quality.
Crafting

Once you have obtained a workshop. You can craft and upgrade items. Crafting is essential for obtaining the best gear, and required for end game.

Notes

You can upgrade your accessory and weapons by using the upgrade item option when crafting your item. Each material have different effects.
Higher difficulty level requires a larger amount of Rune Points (RP) to forge.
Level 10 is the maximum cap for item upgrade.
Using an item that have been previously used will have the effect reduced by 50% effect.
Pay attention to the material on crafting items. This is important when using material of the same type on a recipe. The game likes to put the rarest items instead of the cheaper items.
If there's an empty slot in the crafting recipe, you can put in another material to have the effects and properties of that material.
If you do not have the recipe on your list, it will cost more RP to craft.
Type materials is a new change to Rune Factory, where you can use any material as a substitute as long as within the same category.
For example, Broad Sword requires an Ore Type material, that mean you can use either an iron or copper to craft the material and so on.
