What will I experience? The SingTel Simulator is a sight, sound and motion simulator that gives you the experience of driving a real Formula One™ race car. Physically, the SingTel Simulator looks just like a Formula One™ car. It has the Singapore Grand Prix circuit loaded in a virtual software that is displayed on 3 LCD screens. Mounted on a motion-enabled platform, it allows the user to experience every thrilling hairpin turn, every heart-pounding skid, brake and crash while zooming down the actual Singapore Grand Prix circuit at breakneck speeds. How many simulators are there? SingTel has custom-made 2 Simulators. Where will the two SingTel simulators be? The first SingTel Simulator will be permanently located at the SingTel Comcentre in Exeter Road. The second unit (arriving in late May) will be brought to shopping malls and community centres, making it more accessible to the public. Where do I book a schedule? How will I know if the slots are available? The booking system for the SingTel Simulator is centralized in this site. Click here to check the available schedule and venues. Are the SingTel Simulators open to the public, including non-SingTel customers and tourists? All Singaporeans, Singapore PR, Employment Pass and Work Permit holders are welcome to try and drive the SingTel Simulator. SingTel customers have the privilege to access the SingTel Simulators during special time slots and are eligible to win premium prizes. When can I start booking a slot for the SingTel Simulator? You may start booking your schedule from 26 April to 9 September 2008 only through the SingTel Race site. To check the available schedule and venues, click here. You will receive a confirmation email after completing the booking process. How many slots are available per day? Each user will be given 15 minutes to experience the SingTel Simulator. There will be 4 slots per hour, depending on the location. As timeslots are limited, terms and conditions will apply when booking. How many times may I book? In order to let as many people experience the ride, each guest is eligible for one ride. You may only book once, cancel and re-schedule once. Are there restrictions for driving the SingTel Simulator? All guests must be at least 1.4 metre tall and no taller than 2.3 metre. You must not weigh more than 150 kg. Guests who are pregnant, have pre-existing medical conditions including diabetes, heart or back problems, will not be allowed to drive the SingTel Simulator. How many times can I book? Each guest is eligible for one ride. This is in order to allow as many people experience the SingTel Simulator. You may only cancel and change your booking once. How much does it cost to ride the SingTel Simulator? Are there any charges when I book online? Driving the SingTel Simulator is free of charge. You will not be charged when you book a slot online. How do I cancel a booking? To change your booking schedule, just click on the “Change/Cancel Booking” button after logging in. As much as possible, please make the changes 48 hours before your scheduled ride. You can only change your booking schedule once. You are entitled to make one more booking after changing your schedule. How do I change a booking to another timeslot? To cancel a booking, just click on the “Change/Cancel Booking” button after logging in. As much as possible please make the changes 48 hours before your schedule. You can only cancel your booking once. You are entitled to make one more booking after cancellation. What if the Site hangs half-way into my booking? If the site hangs while you are in the middle of making your booking, check your email inbox to see if you received the confirmation email. If you did not receive any, please repeat the booking procedure. What if I don’t receive a confirmation email after I completed a booking? Please contact us if you did not receive the confirmation email after completing the booking process. What is the SingTel Ultimate Race online game? The SingTel Ultimate Race online game is a downloadable version of the SingTel Simulator virtual software. To read about the size specifications and how you can download this to you computer, click here. Who are qualified to participate in the SingTel Simulator Leaderboards? Everyone who books a slot to drive the SingTel Simulator can upload their score into the Leaderboards upon entering the competition. However, only Singapore Residents, Permanent Residents, Work Permit and Employment Pass holders can win prizes. Your actual race time and user name will be posted. There will be 2 SingTel Race Leaderboards: 1 for SingTel subscribers and another for non-SingTel subscribers. The top 3 users who post the fastest race times by 9 September 2008 will win exclusive prizes. Winners will be notified through email within 7 days after the announcement. To view the prizes, click here. Who are qualified to participate in the SingTel Ultimate Race online game Leaderboards? Anyone who downloads and plays the SingTel Ultimate Race online game can enter the Leaderboards competition. Your actual race time and user name will be posted. The top 3 users who post the fastest race times by 9 September 2008 will win exclusive prizes. Please read the Terms and Conditions to get the mechanics of the competition. Back to Top At the Site of the Simulator Why do I have to be at the venue 30 minutes before my booking schedule? We would appreciate if you could arrive early to prepare for the ride. This gives our SingTel Race team enough time to verify your documents and brief you about the machine. You are also invited to try out the SingTel Ultimate Race online game in the PC to familiarize with the track before you drive the simulator. What will happen if I am late or missed my schedule? We advise you to arrive at the venue 30 minutes before your booking schedule. There will be no guarantee that we can accommodate you if you come in later than that. Can I transfer my booking schedule to another person? Your booking is non-transferable. Your credentials will be verified at the venue. Only the person who enrolled in the system, with the corresponding documents will be allowed to ride the SingTel Simulator for that time-slot. Back to Top SingTel Prediction Challenge What is the duration of the SingTel Prediction Challenge? The SingTel Prediction Challenge is divided into 11 rounds. These rounds are based on the Formula One™ Grand Prix calendar, beginning at the Turkish GP on 9 May 2008 up to the Singapore GP on 26 September 2008. However, you may begin placing your predictions for the Formula One™ Spanish Grand Prix on 24-26 April. This will be a practice race so you can familiarize yourself with the game. Your points will not be recorded. Is it open to public, including non-SingTel customers? The SingTel Prediction challenge is open to anyone, however only Singaporeans, Singapore PR, valid Work Permit and Employment Pass holders are eligible for the prizes. How will the winners be chosen? Individual Race Everyone who registers and play the SingTel Prediction Challenge game will be awarded points based on how accurate their predictions are compared to the results of the Formula OneTM Grand Prix races. The player with the most points at the end of each Grand Prix will win the Individual Race prize. Grand Draw Everyone who registers and play the SingTel Prediction Challenge game will be awarded points based on how accurate their predictions are compared to the results of the Formula OneTM Grand Prix races. The top 3 players with the most points accumulated after the 11 rounds will win the Grand Prizes. How will winners be notified? Winners will be notified by email within 30 days after the competition closes on 28 September 2008. Redemption details will be included in the notification email. Back to Top Fan Cam Who can post photos and videos in Fan Cam? Everyone is invited to participate and upload their Formula One™ related photos & videos to Fan Cam. How can I post my photos and video on Fan Cam? You can post your photos and videos through 2 means: via online and through mobile. To upload through mobile, just send the photo or video as an MMS to 98313131 (98F1F1F1). You can post photos or videos with a maximum size of 11mb. Do I have to pay to post my photos and video on FanCam? Online upload of your photos and video is free of charge. Mobile users who send via MMS will be charged the usual MMS rates by your phone operator. I am a SingTel mobile customer, when I upload images to the site, what are the charges? SingTel Pre-paid customers will be charged the usual MMS charges. SingTel Post-paid customers' MMS charges will be waived. Who can help me if I cannot post my photos after a few tries? If you are unable post your pictures, go to Contact Us to fill-up the online form for any queries or problems encountered during the posting process. SingTel Race Team will resolve your queries via email. Who are qualified to win in the Fan Cam promotion? The first 100 individual users who post photos or videos on Fan Cam will win the limited edition 2008 FORMULA 1™ SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX caps. Winners will be notified through email or by phone. The Single-Day Walkabout Tickets will be sold exclusively to SingTel customers from 23 – 25 April 2008. The tickets are priced as follows: 3-Day Walkabout Pass S$168 26 September (Fri) S$38 27 September (Sat) S$58 28 September (Sun) S$108 Youths and senior citizens will get a 10% discount off the selling price. What do SingTel customers have to furnish at point of sales to enjoy the privileges? SingTel customers must present a recent SingTel bill or show their SingTel mobile phone (operator logo) as proof before purchase of the tickets. How and where can customers buy the 1-day pass? You can buy the tickets at Hello! Comcentre @ 31 Exeter Road, OmniTicket Authorised Outlets at SingPost branches island-wide, Forum The Shopping Mall Information Service @ Level 2, Marina Square Customer Service Desk @ Level 2 and Singapore Visitor's Centre @ Orchard. How many single day Walkabout tickets may I buy? The race organizer has indicated that each subscriber may purchase a maximum of 8 tickets per transaction. How do I take part in the competition once I have bought my tickets? SingTel subscribers who purchase the tickets can also get a chance to win a pair of exclusive Pit Walk passes for 26 September 2008 or limited edition 2008 FORMULA 1TM SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX caps by joining the Formula OneTM Walkabout Competition online.
