*1* INTRO: PURPOSE OF THE GUIDE
=========================================
The purpose of this guide is to give tips and information to make
winning the Challenge Mode battles easier. This gives detailed
information on every aspect of the battles, including prizes, commands,
items, and enemy/ally zoids. It also provides a strategy for how to
win, which is especially useful in higher levels, as they often force
you to devise a particular strategy to stand any chance of winning
(especially level 10). There really aren't any spoilers, per se, but
the strategies ARE the way to win, and take the challenge out of the
challenge mode (though luck is still required in many cases). Use this
guide with caution, for you have been warned (as challenge mode is
really the only place there is any REAL challenge in this game).

*2* VERSION HISTORY
=========================================
1.0 (8-1-06) First upload, up to Level 6 complete.

To-do:
-Finish levels 6-10
-Obtain info on when each Level opens up (I could really use this info,
if anyone has it).

=========================================
*3* TERMINOLOGY
=========================================
I try to use the exact names of attacks, zoids, etc as is used in the
game itself whenever possible, so if you can't find the exact
item/attack/command/zoid I refer to, I most likely made a mistake.

Here is my terminology, and some official terms that may or may not be
obvious:

Direct Hit: When an attack ignores the enemy's defense.
Usually, damage = (AT of attack) - (DF of target). A direct hit sets
the damage equal to the AT of the attack. The "AM" stat is the % chance
of a zoid suffering a direct hit.

Difficulties: Rated 1 to 5, 1 being easiest, 5 being hardest.

1/5 = Easy battle, takes dedicated effort to lose. Following the
"strategy" usually just means the battle is a couple turns shorter,
and nothing more (with the exception of AT-doubling commands).

2/5 = Pretty easy battle, though a loss is possible if you screw up.
Restarting the battle until things come up in your favor the first turn
is sometimes required. Some hint of organized strategy.

3/5 = Average difficulty, and usually requires obeying a particular
strategy. Mess it up, and you may still win, though it isn't likely. A
little luck goes a long way.

4/5 = Difficult. This not only requires a strict strategic regimen,
but also requires luck to win. Often requires luck-based planning,
such as direct hits, not missing (for you), missing (for enemy), not
getting frozen, etc.

5/5 = Extreme difficulty. A very complex, strict strategy is required
for victory, and any deviation will destroy you. The enemy(ies) often
outnumber and outpower you, making luck your only chance for victory.
And that's assuming your follow the strategy precisely. Deviate and
die.

*4* CHALLENGE MODE: LEVEL 1
=========================================
Unlocked: Beginning of the game.

The first level includes some surprisingly difficult duels between the
Hero and Leviathe. Expect to retry some battles dozens of times until
luck finally favors you. But don't let this scare you away from
Challenge Mode completely, for there are awesome prizes to be won.

------------------------

Challenge Mode 1-1
Difficulty: 1/5
Prize: Zoid Core SS
Commands: None
Items: CA Ion S (x3), React U. (x3)

Enemies:
Saberlion x1 (Frontrow)
Pilot: None
HP:90 EP:20
GEP:2 SP:255
MM:90 IV:755
DF:15 AM:40
DCP:70 SR:500

Team:
Molga x2 (Frontrow) CannonryMolga x1 (Backrow)
Pilot: None Pilot: None
HP:50 EP:10 HP:50 EP:15
GEP:2 SP:200 GEP:2 SP:180
MM:60 IV:400 MM:60 IV:480
DF:23 AM:90 DF:23 AM:90
DCP:20 SR:200 DCP:30 SR:300

Strategy: Very straightforward. Have the CannonryMolga use its
CannonUnit on the Saberlion, and the other two Molgas use Go 4 Broke.
There shouldn't be any problems unless the Saberlion uses its
HiWaveBlade a lot, or the CannonUnit misses a lot.

Challenge Mode 1-2
Difficulty: 1/5
Prize: Zoid Core SS
Commands: None
Items: CA Ion S (x6), React U. (x6)

Enemies:

MM:60 IV:400 MM:60 IV:480
DF:23 AM:90 DF:23 AM:90
DCP:20 SR:200 DCP:30 SR:300

Strategy: Like the last battle, just fire away with your CannonUnits.
Aim for the Gun Tiger first, then the Saberlion. Your frontline Molgas
should be able to absorb damage long enough to win relatively easily.

------------------------

Challenge Mode 1-3
Difficulty: 4/5
Prize: Z Core FL
Commands: Friendship, No Return, Off-Grd Mines
Items: CA Ion S (x3)

Enemies:
Redler x1 (Frontrow)
Pilot: Leviathe
HP:136 EP:15
GEP:2 SP:3000
MM:20 IV:3480
DF:18 AM:30
DCP:96 SR:480

Team:
Saberlion x1 (Frontrow)
Pilot: Hero
HP:135 EP:20
GEP:2 SP:255
MM:99 IV:805
DF:15 AM:40
DCP:77 SR:550

Strategy: This is a fairly difficult battle. One wrong move or a miss
can screw you totally. On the first turn, use No Return to double your
attack, and on turn two, use Off-Grd Mines to disable the Redler for a
turn. Friendship will most likely be needed on turn three to restore
50% of your HP. Use Hi WvBlade on the Redler over and over, praying you
don't miss. If you do miss, you might as well just retreat and try
again, as the Saberlion can only withstand 3-4 attacks before it falls,
and Hi WvBlade only has a 64% hit rate. If you get it below 20 HP,
finish it off with Hi Wv Fang, since it has a 71% hit rate.

------------------------

Challenge Mode 1-4
Difficulty: 1/5
Prize: Z Core ZN (x2), Saberlion ZiData
Commands: Friendship, Conservation, No Return, Muddy Ground
Items: None

Enemies:
Atak Kat x2 (Frontrow)
Pilot: None
HP:100 EP:15
GEP:2 SP:190
MM:80 IV:1990
DF:18 AM:50
DCP:60 SR:1800

Team:
Saberlion x1 (Frontrow) Gun Tiger x1 (Frontrow)
Pilot: Hero Pilot: Juno
HP:135 EP:20 HP:119 EP:20
GEP:2 SP:255 GEP:2 SP:270
MM:99 IV:805 MM:117 IV:1370
DF:15 AM:40 DF:15 AM:40
DCP:77 SR:550 DCP:70 SR:600

Strategy: An easy battle. On the first turn, use No Return to double
your attack power. Juno allows your Gun Tiger two shooting weapon
attacks per round, so use that to its fullest, and have her blast an
Atak Kat with the Vulcan Gun and the StaticMagn. It should be more than
enough to blow one away completely with the doubled power. The
Saberlion's Hi WvBlade should crush the other Atak Kat easily. If it
misses, you should easily be able to win on turn two.

------------------------

Challenge Mode 1-5
Difficulty: 1/5
Prize: Mines cmd, Cannonry U, Gun Tiger ZiData
Commands: Friendship, Conservation, No Return
Items: CA Ion S (x3), React U. (x3)

MM:99 IV:805 MM:117 IV:1370
DF:15 AM:40 DF:15 AM:40
DCP:77 SR:550 DCP:70 SR:600

Strategy: On the first turn, use No Return to double your power. Have
Juno use the Vulcan Gun on one row, and then hit a different
CannonryMolga with StaticMagn. This should eradicate three of the six
enemies, two of them being CannonryMolgas. After that, it's incredibly
easy to win. Just hammer away with whatever attacks you want in order
to finish them off.

=========================================
*5* CHALLENGE MODE: LEVEL 2
=========================================
Unlocked: ???

Level 2 starts out difficult, but except for the first battle, they are
easy. You should have little problem clearing this level.

------------------------

Challenge Mode 2-1
Difficulty: 5/5
Prize: Z Core SS
Commands: Friendship, Muddy Ground, Off-Grd Mines
Items: CA Ion S (x3)

Enemies:
Redler x1 (Frontrow)
Pilot: Leviathe
HP:136 EP:15
GEP:2 SP:3000
MM:20 IV:3480

Team:

Pilot: Hero
HP:135 EP:20
GEP:2 SP:255
MM:99 IV:805
DF:15 AM:40
DCP:77 SR:550

Strategy: Much like Mode 1-3, except Muddy Ground in the place of No
Return. First turn, use Off-Grd Mines to disable the Redler for a turn,
and on the second turn, use Muddy Ground to reduce its evasion, all but
ensuring a hit by Hi WvBlade. Use Friendship to heal if your HP goes
too low. This is a VERY difficult battle, so it will probably require
multiple attempts. Victory depends almost entirely on luck.

DCP:22 SR:1500 DCP:20 SR:1800

Strategy: Start out by using Muddy Ground to cut evasion. Wail away at
the top Dbl-Sworder with your 2Beam Can.s until it falls, then go after
the lower one. This battle is incredibly difficult. Your zoids are
prone to freezing from their attacks, so you'll probably have to
restart often. If you do get frozen, use Off-Grd mines to cancel all
action for a turn, hoping it will recover from freeze. Once the first
Dbl-Sworder falls, go for the second one. With any luck, you'll score
one or two direct hits, resulting in the full 40 damage. It figures
that this battle, where you're most likely to get frozen, is the one
that only gives you ONE React U. to heal with...

Strategy: As you can tell from the stats (or even just the zoids), you
have no chance of ever going first, but your commands can help ease the
speed disparity. Start off by using Off-Grd Mines to disable them for a
turn, so you can pick away at the two Pteras Bombers with your Vipers'
Sm LsrMGun. It should do a minimum of 30 damage to each (as much as 90,
though, if you score a direct hit with each shot). On the next turn,
use Muddy Ground to ensure you don't miss. They'll go first, but even
if all three target the same zoid, you should survive. Again, let fly
with the Sm LsrMGun, and hope to take out at LEAST one Bomber. With any
luck, one should fall (perhaps both, if you were lucky with direct
hits). On the third turn, use Friendship to heal your wounded Zoids,
and then finish off the remaining Bomber(s). Even one direct hit on each
will be enough to finish them off this turn, so don't worry (if there
is only one Bomber left, finish it with the Hvy M. Gun). Then, tear in
to the Pteras Radome with the Hvy M. Gun, and you should win (use the
Vulcan until the Radome is in the frontrow). Don't be afraid to use
some CA Ion S items if you're in danger of losing a zoid (below 50% of
HP).

Strategy: This battle is a joke. Seriously. On the first round, lay the
Water Mines to disable your enemies, and just blast away with
ARaid Misl at the Killer Domes. Even without direct hits, you do enough
damage to kill them in two shots each. With Juno, make sure to also
have her fire 2-Missile and Vulcan, since she has Multi-Shot 2. Vulcan
should be targeted at the middle row, to hit the Brachios too. The Hero
can also fire a 2-Missile, so do so. The enemy team should be on its
last legs by turn 2, so just seal their fair with more ARaid Misls. If
you actually need to, or if you just want to rub it in, use False Nego
to buy Juno a free turn of shooting fun.

DCP:78 SR:1980 DCP:66 SP:1980

Strategy: Yet another simple battle. On the first turn, use No Return,
just like usual. 2Beam Cann should be enough to kill a Guysack, even
without direct hits. But for the Hero, use 2Beam Cann on the Hammer
Rock instead, so the Lsr M Gun can hit the Guysack (its range is 1).
On turn 2, don't use a skill, and instead finish off the Guysack. Then
just tear away with 2Beam Cann. until the enemies fall. Use Friendship
for healing, or Conservation if you run low on EP. If the Guysack uses
its smokescreen, Muddy Water should help. It'll be a long battle, but
you should have no problem emerging victorious. Oh, and don't use
Opt.Camou., as it will eat up all your EP.

*6* CHALLENGE MODE: LEVEL 3
=========================================
Unlocked: ???

Level 3 possesses a couple of close calls, but all of the battles go
smoothly if you exercise strategy and foresight. There's a couple
of decent prizes, such as the Water Mines command, but overall nothing
that great.

------------------------

Challenge Mode 3-1
Difficulty: 1/5
Prize: BC Set

DF:20 AM:55
DCP:156 SR:1650

Strategy: Yep, another duel against Leviathe. But fortunately, this
time your zoid is actually faster than hers, affording you the luxury
of healing before she can attack. On the first turn, use Sandstorm, and
activate the Eshlder S to protect your zoid. On the second turn, cast
Mines, and activate the 3D Radar, so that 3 Beam Can. will have better
accuracy. Third turn, cats Muddy Ground, and then lay into Leviathe
with 3 Beam Can.. Once the shield falls, you can re-activate it, but
you probably shouldn't need to. Follow these steps, and victory should
come swiftly.

Strategy: Uses Logis.Support right away to give the Shield Liger a
300AT attack on the Zaber Fang. That should carve out a lot of its HP.
Then, use Redistributn. to set the ShldLiger DCS to the front row too.
Its Lsr Saber should be sufficient to finish off the Zaber Fang. Then,
just lay into the ZaberFang Old with both Ligers' Lsr Sabers, using
Friendship if needed.

Strategy: This battle can be difficult if you're not careful. First,
use Redistributn. to move the middle Hammer Rock to the top back spot.
This way, if the enemy uses a B-range attack, it may only hit one of your
three zoids. Have your Hammer Rocks blast away with MultiBeam for the
first turn. Then on the next turn, use Logis.Support to double your
damage. Pray that the Iron Kong doesn't freeze or kill one of your
zoids, and blast away. Then just MultiBeam him until he falls, hoping
you survive that long. This largely depends on luck, in the enemy not
freezing or killing you, just like the old Leviathe battles.

Strategy: A seemingly difficult battle, as your zoids are outclassed
by the enemy, even though you have numerical superiority. Start out
with Logis.Support, and use LaserBlade with all three Redlers. This
should be enough to take out a HammerHead. On the next turn, use
Water Mines to disable the Hammer Heads (and your own Brachios),
and again tear away with Laser Blade. Then use False Nego to buy a
Redler a free attack. Follow up with Off-Grd Mines on the 4th turn,
and let fly with the Linear Lsr from your Brachios. Don't worry if you
lose a Redler, or Brachios; you should still be able to pull off a win.
If your Brachios are badly damaged, but your Redlers are still strong,
use Sandstorm to buy the Brachios an extra turn before they can be
killed. Not a difficult battle, but if you don't play your cards right,
you won't be able to win.

Strategy: A large battle, but deceptively easy. First, use Redistributn.
to move the Zabat to the bottom back spot, and the Barigator to the
front bottom. Have the Zabat cast RadomeUnit, to improve people's
accuracy (not THAT useful, but better than anything else it can do).
Have the GSnpr Weasal use Beam M. Gun on the back row (Unenlagia poses
a threat, and it usually wipes out both of them), have Barigator use
its pathetic Beam Gun on Leo Blaze, and follow up on it with a Lsr Saber
from Shield Liger. Hopefully it'll kill it, but if not, don't worry. On
the next turn, use Logis.Support and finish this joke of a battle.

*7* CHALLENGE MODE LEVEL 4
=========================================
Unlocked: ???

Level 4 presents an odd mix of difficulty and strategy. Although not
very difficult, mistakes are often costly here. This also premiers the
ZC Promo item, which restores 50% of a Zoid's HP. These are valuable,
so don't waste them (assuming you even need one).

DCP:20 SR:200 DCP:30 SR:300

Strategy: Another Molga battle! Yay! First of all, the Dark Poisons'
missiles do 27 damage to your front line, so two will kill a Molga.
If this happens on the first turn, reset. Otherwise, use Logis.Support,
then Gatling away at the front row. At 17 per hit, any Molga that is
struck by all 3 Gatlings should fall. On turn 2, use False Nego to buy
a CannonryMolga a turn to snipe any surviving Molgas with CannonUnit.
If all the worms fell to the previous assault, just blast a Dark
Poison. Now, just blast away with Gatling and CannonUnit until the Dark
Poisons fall, healing when necessary. Remember, your Molgas are just
pawns to buy the Cannon-wielding ones enough time to kill the enemies,
so don't be afraid to let them die if need be. This can be tough, as
your top accuracy is 80%, but assuming fortune favors you, it is an
easy enough victory (besides, your foes also have only 80% accuracy).
Save Confusion for the end, in case you need to buy some time, or heal
first. Just don't rely on it to always give one of your zoids a first
strike. Also, don't expect any direct hits; the Dark Poison's have a
90% resist rate.

DCP:123 SP:1560 DCP:117 SR:1040

Strategy: An easy battle. First turn, use Logis.Support to double your
Gun Sniper's power. Have one use SniprRifle on the Atak Kat to bring
its HP down considerably. Have the other two use AnchorClaw on a Rev
Raptor, which will destroy it. The Atak Kat will use its ZOS on the
first turn, but that shouldn't be a problem. On the next turn, the Atak
Kat will probably activate its stealth unit, but you should still have
a 99% hit rate with SniprRifle. Finish it off, then again have your
remaining two Gun Snipers AnchorClaw another Rev Raptor. Have your
Command Wolf fire its 2Beam Cann at the same Rev Raptor. Repeat on the
next two turns, and the battle should be over. You shouldn't even need
to heal your zoids, and you definitely shouldn't need to use your
Command Wolf's ZOS, but if you run into problems (unlikely), Mines will
stop the Rev Raptors for a turn.

Its just that easy. Once the VL falls, go for the regular Hammer Head.
Even if you miss a couple of times, the enemies aren't capable of
dealing enough damage to even fell a single Mosasledge (though the
HammerHead VL's lance can critically damage a zoid, and freeze it).

Strategy: Don't bother using any commands yet. Pound away with
MissilePod with all 3 Nightwises. Use Friendship to heal once your team
starts taking some damage, as Nightwises have low defense. Once you've
destroyed two of them, or the two front row Hammer Heads remain, have
your own front row Nightwises strike with Crush Claw. You can even use
Redistributn. to put all 3 Nightwises in the front row to use
Crush Claw. A lot of the difficulty here lies in the event that the
enemies take down a zoid in the first turn. If that happens, just start
over.

enemy, and have Leo Blaze use Zan Blade. Repeat for turn 2, and on turn
3, have Unenlagia heal whoever was hit on turn 2 with a CA Ion M, then
once more, Zan Blade ol' Albane. On the 4th turn, use 2-armL.Gattai,
and deal the finishing blow with Zan Blade. Another easy battle over.
You could probably Gattai sooner, but there's little point, and it may
lead to damage problems (especially if he scores direct hits). Likewise,
a Gattai may not really be needed, but it helps end the battle in a
single turn.

Strategy: The choice is obvious: Logis.Support. This should allow you
to off most enemies on the first turn. Hit the top 3 zoids with
Nightwise's MissilePod, Leo Blaze's Zan Blade on Shell Karn, and Tail
Saw with Mosasledge on Demon's Head. That should kill the two heavy
attackers, and from then, the battle is easy. Finish off the rest at
your own pace.

Strategy: Fans of Zoids: Chaotic Century will recognize this battle,
and it will be just as hard as on TV. This is probably the most
complicated battle yet, so prepare for rough times. First of all, if
Stinger uses ParalyzMist on his first turn (or even 2nd), restart the
battle to save time and suffering. Also, restart if either Zaber Fang
uses its electric cannon. Use Irvine's LR rifle, and then fuse Van
with his organoid to gain the boosts Zeke grants. On the next turn, Lsr
Saber with Van on the top Zaber Fang, and Blast Stinger with the
LR Rifle. On turn 3, you'll probably need Friendship. Then use
Lsr Saber and Bite Fang on the top Zaber to finish him off. If Stinger
ever does use his ParalyzMist, hope that it doesn't affect the pilots,
or else it'll screw you over. Lsr Saber and Bite Fang the other Zaber
to death, and then seal Stinger's fate. If everything works out right,
the battle isn't too hard, but if it doesn't, it's a long grudge match
you probably won't win.

Strategy: Really a simplistic battle. Decoy Claudia on the first turn,
then Railcannon with Reiner and H Knuckle with Claudia. Have Reiner
use CA Ion M's and S's when Shell Karn's HP runs low. This is possibly
the most simplistic, straightforward battle of Challenge Mode. You can
even freeze Max with EM Cannon. If he scores a direct hit on Claudia,
she may go down (especially if you use CA Ion S's instead), but
it's so easy, starting over is hardly a problem.

Strategy: All out battle, Imperial forces vs. Republic forces! First
off, use Logis.Support to boost the front row, and then lay siege to
the foes. LsrSaber one of the Rev Raptors, then Hyper Fang the other,
followed by the Red Horn. With both of the Raptors gone, use Obstacles
to allow your GSnpr Weasals a turn to wreak havoc, and finish off the
Red Horn, then pick away at the Iron Kongs with Beam M. Gun,
LR Cannon, Lsr Saber, and Hyper Fang. You may lose one, or possibly two
zoids, but a victory should still be easy.

Strategy: A fairly difficult battle. Don't use any commands, and have
the Buster Eagle use its Buster Cn. on the ChimeraDragon. Then use
X Scissors and Zan Blade on the dragon to finish it off. On the 2nd
turn, you'll likely need Friendship, so use it. If not, hold off until
turn 3, when you WILL need it. Let Lord Gale restore it's EP for
another X Scissors while the lizard Zan Blades the Fuzor Dragon. If
both Buster Cn. and Zan Blade score direct hits, it can even finish
it off. After Fuzor falls, lay into the Griffin. It has no chance of
survival. Just beware: if the Fuzor Dragon sets up its e-shield, it
can delay the end of the battle a turn or two, which can seriously
affect your chances of winning.

Strategy: A somewhat difficult battle. On the first turn, use Sandstorm
to disable firing weapons. Use your front row's KillrSaber on each
of the three front row zoids of the enemy. If you're lucky, some of the
Com.Wolf Towns should freeze. Have the SaixBS use a CA Ion S on
whichever zoid was damaged the most. Turn 2, use Redistributn. to move
the Lightng Saix to the back top position, and the BS version to the
middle front (to protect vs. B-range attacks better). Seal the fates of
the Town wolfs. Have both Lightng Saixes use Pulse Lsr on the middle
row to critically injure the Cerberus. On the third turn, use Muddy
Ground if necessary to counteract any smokescreens used, and pound away
with your most damaging attacks. Use CA Ions to heal if necessary (try
to have the Lightng Saix use it, as it has the least damage potential).
All in all, it shouldn't be too hard to win, despite the numbers.
Unless all of the enemies pile attacks onto a single zoid, it's
unlikely they will succeed in destroying any, at least until it's too
late for them to win.

*13* CHALLENGE MODE LEVEL 10

Unlocked: ???

Challenge Mode 10-1
Difficulty: 1/5
Prize: False Nego cmd, No Return cmd
Commands: Friendship, No Return, Mines, Sandstorm, False Nego,
Beam Screen, Decoy
Items: CA Ion L (x3), ZC Promo (x1)

Enemies:
Mad Thunder x1 (Frontrow) Mad Thunder x1 (Backrow)
Pilot: Republic warr Pilot: Republic warr
HP:1360 EP:70 HP:1360 EP:70
GEP:15 SP:100 GEP:15 SP:100
MM:39 IV:490 MM:39 IV:490
DF:250 AM:95 DFP:250 AM:95
DCP:780 SR:390 DCP:780 SR:390

Team:
Death Saurer x1 (Frontrow)
Pilot: Imperial warr
HP:1700 EP:100
GEP:10 SP:90
MM:56 IV:690
DF:200 AM:95
DCP:1200 SR:600

Strategy: This battle is a joke. Start off with No Return and burn both
opponents with a double-power Lg Part. C burst for 350 damage. Then it's
just a matter of Bite Fanging them to death. Without the boost, only
Bite Fang does enough to warrant using. Everything else does 1 usually,
whereas Bite Fang hits for 100. Use other commands, such as Mines and
Decoy, to make this already easy battle even easier, as they have
trouble hitting YOU for more than 100 a hit (their horn thrust attack
can do 250, but only the frontrow one can use it). Beyond being
extremly unlucky, there's almost no way to lose this. But it will take a
while. You can hope for a critical, but with their AM, you only have a
5% chance.

HP:600 EP:50 HP:1000 EP:100
GEP:5 SP:185 GEP:10 SP:90
MM:75 IV:585 MM:40 IV:590
DF:150 AM:90 DF:200 AM:95
DCP:400 SR:400 DCP:1000 SR:500

Team:
BladeLiger AB x1 (Frontrow) Geno Breaker x1 (Frontrow)
Pilot: Van Pilot: Raven
HP:540 EP:35 HP:800 EP:40
GEP:3 SP:320 GEP:5 SP:345
MM:136 IV:1880 MM:133 IV:1385
DF:50 AM:65 DF:100 AM:70
DCP:450 SR:560 DCP:640 SR:540

Strategy: First turn, use Fiona'sPrayer to fuse Van and Zeke. Have Van
use Lsr Saber on a Death Stinger, and activate Raven's organoid, likely
freezing one of the enemies. If it's the Death Saurer, consider yourself
lucky, but if not, that's ok. You'll likely eat a charged particle beam
if the Death Saurer isn't frozen, and even if not, Raven will likely be
berserked. This is ok, as he's capable of more damage than Van, so Van
can act as a healer. Once Raven is berserk, use False Nego to allow him
a free turn. Beam Screen the next turn to block the enemies from using
their devastating particle and beam weapons. Use Van's AB Cannon after
this, and simply wear them down. If the Death Saurer gets lucky with
its particle cannon blasts, you can lose, but often victory is assured.
