Dragonica EU Release Confirmed and Screens

Gala Networks Europe has announced that Dragonica, a new MMO which puts the 3D side-scrolling action into an online format, will be released in English, French and German languages via the European gPotato gaming portal during Q1 2009. A mixture of classic 2D side-scrollers and combo heavy action games, the combat system from Dragonica will allow you to experiment with various attack combinations to see the most eye-popping and comical combat animations. In Dragonica, you can own a house and decorate it with furniture, a pet house, a mailbox, or even trophies. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa Demo

Activision has released a playable demo of Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa Video Game, allowing you to try out this videogame based on the feature film from DreamWorks Animation and scheduled for November 2008. The four famous zoo animals - Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo - and their entire madcap Madagascar crew take players on a whole new action-packed journey to help save the African savannah. Assuming the roles of all their favorite characters, including those crafty penguins, players must work through 12 distinct levels featuring a variety of wild adventures and fun mini-games. In addition to the diverse single-player gameplay, the Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa Video Game delivers an enhanced multiplayer tournament mode allowing gamers to participate in competitions alongside or against friends and family.

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Launch Trailer

Activision has released a new trailer from Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, showcasing the latest installment in the Spider-Man video game series due to hit the store shelves on October 21st, for PC and next-generation consoles. Set in an apocalyptic New York City, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows gives players an unprecedented level of gameplay choices, including for the first time, control over the game's direction and outcome. The all new combat system allows for truly three-dimensional battles that start in the streets, continue up sides of buildings and finish on rooftops. Gamers can instantly switch between Spider-Man's agile red suit and his formidable black suit, choose to ally with Marvel's honored heroes or ferocious villains, pick which character abilities to upgrade, and decide which missions to undertake in order to protect Manhattan from certain destruction.

Pyroblazer Intro Movie

Candella Systems and Eipix Entertainment have released the intro movie of Pyroblazer, a futuristic combat racing game which will be available for the PC, Wii and PSP later this year. Set amidst the awe-inspiring locations of New Apeiron, players get the opportunity to race through a multitude of environments using a wide selection of anti-gravity craft known as Blazers. In their quest for glory, players can blast their way through the scorched valleys of Gnosis, the deserted cities of Haedra or the densely populated Underdome of Evelads. As the players fight their way through the championship, improved Blazers with better speed, handling and superior firepower become available. Players also have the ability to pick up weapon and ammo upgrades during the race, further enhancing their ability to land the killer blow.

Wii Music EU Release Date Confirmed

Nintendo today announced that Wii Music will be released on November 14th across Europe. Wii Music is a game where you can play most of the 60-plus instruments with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. Strum to play guitar, banjo and sitar. Drum to play jazz drums, congas and marching drums. Hammer away to play piano, vibraphone and marimba. You only need to imitate playing the instrument. Check the press release for more details.

Akella has unveiled more details about the armor and personal weapons of the Empire hero from Disciples III: Renaissance, due to hit the store shelves in Q1 2009. In Disciples III: Renaissance, the player takes on the role of a Lord of one of the fantastic races of Nevendaar in their enduring struggle to establish the reign of their respective god over the world. Ripe with surprises and turn-arounds, the story of the world of Nevendaar is played against a somber backdrop and shows a unique as well as stunning style that has players asking for more. Being developed by .dat, Disciples III: Renaissance uses .dat's in-house Virtual Dream engine, which supports all modern 3D technologies, and will initially feature 3 playable races: The Empire, The Legions of the Damned, and the Noble Elves, each with unique Unit styles and city representations that will allow city sieges, and end with a battle for the main fortress.
