Walkthrough:

When you begin the demo, you will see yourself and Miranda entering a dark cavern. Miranda has given you a luminous crystal which serves as a torch.
You both continue upstream through the underground caverns and find yourselves at a pool in the grotto. Here, you must pick-up the stones at your feet before going any further. It is imperative that you inspect the pool first... To your surprise and dismay, you see a monster swimming around in search of prey.

If you and Miranda enter the pool, you'll become dinner... However, you need to get to the platform on the other side of the pool. High above you can see cables connecting two platforms... The one to your right with the one across the pool.

You need to find a way to distract the monster so you can quickly move to the platform to your right. Right-click and take the stones from inventory. Throw them to the far left of the pool. The monster, attracted by the splash, will move in that direction to investigate. You have to move quickly. As soon as you see the monster appear, quickly click to your right twice so you and Miranda arrive safely on the first platform. If you move too slowly, you'll be devoured.

Once you safely arrive on the first platform, you'll see a ladder. Climb up it and you'll see the cables secured to the platform, however the bar that you need to use to slide across the cables is on the other side. Click on the cable to pull the bar back to your platform. The system is primitive, but clever.

As in reality, if you let go of the bar too soon while sliding along the cable, you'll fall into the pool and be eaten by the monster. If you release the bar too late, you'll crash into the wall, which is a bit uncomfortable... Therefore, when you click on either the bar or the cable to commence your aerial voyage, a picture of your mouse will indictate when you may click on your left mouse button to release the bar. It's all in the timing...

Once you and Miranda arrive safely on the second platform, you'll find another ladder. Climb up it and find your way out of the grotto into a magnificent clearing in the forest.

You can investigate your surroundings and take in the amazing view...

But wait! You're halted by a Guardian of Harmony with his laser weapon pointing directly at you. Miranda introduces herself and you quickly discover that this is Chel, an ex-Guardian of Harmony who now lives hidden in the forest.

Chel whistles and a rope ladder unrolls from a platform in the tree. You discover that it was lowered by the same monkey that you had caught sight of several times in the forest before you went underground. The monkey alerted Chel that you and Miranda would be arriving. You and Miranda are invited to visit Chel’s home. Chel's "treehouse" has two rooms: one room for eating, living, working, etc. and the second for sleeping. You may explore his home, however you should really speak with him. Chel tells you that his wife is a prisoner of the Guardians of Harmony. Apparently she had already been captured once and then freed by "Cosmo," which in fact was really yourself, Curtis Hewitt. However, while she was fleeing the Guardians of Harmony she went the wrong way and ended up back in their clutches and ultimately back to the Reorientation Center to be realigned. Chel is intent on rescuing his wife, but he knows that this will be perilous. He too risks being captured by the Guardians of Harmony since Enna ("The One Who Sees All") will be aware of his presence well before he approaches the Reorientation Center.

Since the gods can't see you, it's left up to you to save the day!
